Lachmann 556 Camo Challenges & Tips for Completing Them

By
Shane Williams

The Lachmann-556 is another AR to choose from in MW2 and although it’s not as good as the M4 or TAQ-56 it’s still a great weapon to bring into the smaller maps such as Mercado Las Almas, as accuracy and recoil control are amazing for close-range gunfights. As you level up, though, there are base camos to beat. If you’re wondering what the Lachmann 556 camo challenges are. We aim to help you out with that.

Here is a look at the Lachmann 556 Camo Challenges and tips on how to complete each one.

Lachmann 556 Camo Challenges in MW2

The Lachmann 556 Camo Challenges are as follows:

Challenge 2 Get 10 Double Kills with the Lachmann 556 Desert Hybrid
Challenge 3 Get 50 Kills using a Suppressor with the Lachmann 556 Dark Leaves

Lachmann 556 Poloyatomic Challenge 25 headshots with the Lachmann 556 Poloyatomic Camo
Lachmann 556 Orion Challenge Currently Unknown Orion Camo

Lachmann 556 Challenges Tips

Three of the 4 basic challenges are fairly simple to get. Getting 50 Kills with the Lachmann 556 will happen gradually whilst playing so you dont need to think about it, then for the “Get 10 Double Kills with the Lachmann 556” you’ll ideally want to play objective-based game modes, such as Hardpoint or Headquarters, as you’ll constantly have a enemies sitting around the objective allowing you to grab two easy kills. If you’re find that the Lachmann 556 is not performing to your liking, then consider checking out our Lachmann 556 loadout and class set-up as it’ll will improve the weapons stats to allow you to win most short to medium range gunfights.

Next up, you’ll want to “Get 50 Kills using a Suppressor with the Lachmann 556” which will be slightly harder then previous challenges as it’ll decrease handling. The best way to get through this challenge is to equip the ECHOLINE GS-x, as it only decreases the range a little. Like with Challenge 2 you’ll want to stick with objective-based as it’ll make it’ll make it easier for you to pick off enemies whilst they’re distracted instead going up against enemies focusing on kills in Team Deathmatch. Finally, we move onto Challenge 4 which will require you to “Get 10 Hipfire Kills with the Lachmann 556”, so jump into a match of TDM and when you come across enemies in close-range avoid using ADS and simply just spray bullets at them and you should bag the kill!

Lachmann 556 Gold Camo Challenge and Higher Mastery Level Challenges

Once you’ve completed the four basic camos you’ll move onto the Lachmann 556 Gold Camo Challenge which is a lot easier to complete. All you need to do is get three kills without dying ten times to get the gold camo. Team Deathmatch is probably a better mode to play for this challenge as you dont have to worry about the objective, so you can find somewhere to hide out, so you can pick of enemies by surprise making it easier to wrack up the three killstreak. Upon completion of the Lachmann 556 Gold Camo Challenge you’ll need to unlock Gold for the remaining 7 guns before you can move onto the Lachmann 556 Platinum Camo Challenge

This Camo is a little more difficult, as you need to get long-distance kills. Here we recommend sitting on long angles in Invasion maps, or playing long angles of Taraq or Embassy to get the kills. If you mount it to the wall by pressing DualSense-Stick-R. Additionally, if you’re finding long-shots hard to pull off, then try one of the magnified scopes, such as the VLK 4.0 Optic or Forge Tac Delta 4 as it’ll make seeing enemies in the distance easier. The XTEN Angel-40 is a great holographic with a built in range finder. You only need to get kills around 35 meters+, so this sight should make it easier to determine those ranges. The Lachmann should be fine fighting at this range, as we all know this weapon is a pea shooter at very long ranges.

Once you’ve obtained all 51 Platinum weapons you’ll finally move onto the Polyatomic Camo Challenge which requires you to 25 headshots. Stick with whatever build you as that works with your playstyle to get it. We recommend being close to mid range whilst using the the Cronen Mini Red Dot to make it easier to line up your shots. Stick with none-objective based gamemodes like TDM as it’ll make it easier for you to avoid being in situations where you’re facing 3+ enemies.

This concludes the Lachmann 556 camo challenges for MW2. Good luck farming those challenges, getting gorgeous gold and pretty platinum and other hard to graft for skins. If we happen to catch the requirements for Orion, we will update this page with the relevant information
