As we expect the arrival of Warzone 2.0 and Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 we are going to have to be realistic and expect some downtime around the time of launch.
Is Call of Duty Down At The Moment?¶
While Activision Blizzard has not given any indication of potential downtime for Call of Duty, history tells us that even if things go smoothly from an updating perspective, we can expect full lobbies, lagging, and generally a lower gaming experience than we are used to, at least for the first few hours until everybody calms down.
When Will Warzone 2 Be Back Online?¶
It all depends on how busy it gets. If you are having issues getting into games the only thing you can be is patient. The launch of the new version is bound to attract many players all at a specific time. Give it chance to calm down and try again later.
We aren’t expecting any major downtime for technical reasons other than a mass influx of traffic. We will update this page with any further information if it is released.
Expect issues getting into Warzone 2 soon after launch
Update: There have been sporadic reports of people struggling with server connections but there is nothing at this stage to indicate they are anything other than isolated incidents.
When will Warzone 1 Be Back Online?¶
The original Warzone will vanish from the internet for 12 days while it updates to its new permanent version. It will be no accident that this coincides with the Warzone 2.0 launch as the devs try to push people to try out the new features such as Interrogation and the new Gulag.

Warzone 2.0 will release worldwide at the following time:

- Eest Coast US: 10am (PT)
- East Coast US: 1pm (ET)
- UK: 6pm (GMT)
- Europe: 7pm (CET)
