The FSS Hurricane is one of the strong SMGs in MW2, with its high capacity magazine, decent ADS and movement speed, and fairly decent range. This gun is great, especially if you’re looking to get some easy SMG challenges complete on your road to Orion. To help players with that journey, we are looking at the MW2 FSS Hurricane camo challenges, offering tips and tricks for making it easier to complete them.

MW2 FSS Hurricane Camo Challenges Tips¶

The FSS Hurricane camo challenges are as follows:

The MW2 FSS Hurricane camo challenges are fairly straightforward. There’s nothing too special you need to build for your FSS Hurricane to do these challenges. While you’re leveling, you’ll more than likely be using a suppressor anyway, thanks to the nature of awkward attachment muzzle unlocks. From there, you simply need to get kills, some while ADS, and some while prone.

To do the prone challenge, you can dolphin dive around people and kill them, which means you can still enjoy the run-and-gun playstyle of this SMG. One of the better places we found to do this was around the hallway of Hotel map, between the middle section of the map and Chandelier. You have the cover from the outside, while you can stay prone and ADS people that run from the hotel or chandelier outside spawn. But, you can cover any main pathway or rotation spot on any map, especially if enemies have to run towards an onbjective from a spawn, with limited roaming options. Also, you have a better chance of winning the duel while prone, as only a few will have their cross-hair pre-placed on the floor too!

To complete these challenges, we also recommend using the following loadout, which we think is the best FSS Hurricane loadout too!

• Barrel: FSS Cannonade 16“
• Muzzle XTEN Razor Comp, or silencer for the silencer challenge
• Underbarrel: Merc Grip or Pineapple for the recoil control
• Stock: Demo Quicksilver Stock
• Rear Grip: XTEN Rear Grip
• You will use this for most of the FSS hurricane camo challenges in MW2.

FSS Hurricane Gold Camo Challenge and Higher Mastery Level Challenges¶

Now you’re onto the mastery camo challenges. You now want to look at the FSS Hurricane Gold Camo Challenge. This challenge requires you to get three kills without dying. For this, we recommend holding short-range angles that players will move towards. This could be covering entrances to objectives on hardpoint, headquarters, control, and domination or watching rotation angles, like the corridors of the Hotel, Farm 18’s middle building, etc. The FSS Hurricane has the damage profile, rate of fire and magazine size to make this easy. All you need to do is find the right spots and angles, as the mid to long-range kills for this weapon is truly awkward to use unless you have the surprise, godly recoil control or can tap heads in small bursts with your SMG.

FSS Hurricane Platinum Challenge¶

For those daring the FSS Hurricane Platinum Camo Challenge, you need longshot kills. The strategy here is to mount your weapon up on long angles, ideally. The recoil control is very bad at long range, but going prone or mounting the weapon makes it a lot easier to manage. The spots you can do this on are typically the outside areas of

• El Asilo, such as the rock near A and the radio tower on Domination, all the way over the car on the dirt road and beyond. The radio tower works too if you cover the north direction, as does the building to the southwest side of the map overlooking the storage yard, and the swing dirt mound section at the top of the map.
• The raceway is good, especially if you can get prone on the fire engine and cover B site on Domination in front of the pit area of the map, The broadcast trucks side of the map works too, but they favor snipers a lot better.
• Embassy, especially the tennis court and front gate area. You can also get a good prone spot on the roof area of rear gate, near the cafeteria roof. This allows you to cover the car park, with the 35-meter range being the double doors to the main embassy from the car park.
• Taraq is also good if you’re covering north-to-south angles, especially the ruin area towards the building with the second-floor outdoor sniping area, which you can use to cover any objectives that go in that direction.
• Invasion modes: The Invasion maps have very long-range areas, especially if you get elevated. Maybe try these maps and get long-range kills, but just be wary of snipers getting long-range kills.

All you need is to find kills on enemies 35 meters away to get long shots, so, you’ll find many areas where you can realistically complete this challenge.

FSS Hurricane Polyatomic Challenge¶

Finally, the FSS Hurricane Polyatomic Camo Challenge requires you to get headshots. The trick to this is to play the game however you prefer, and watch angles that you can get reliable headshots on. Examples include tight spaces, similar to how you got the gold challenge, with the likes of Farm 18’s buildings, the gates of Al Bagra, and other such tight squeezes being good areas to do it. Look for those angles, adjust your aim to head height and then drill people that come your way. You can opt for an optic to make tracing headshots easier, but it isn’t necessary.
