You can access the Fight Area from Snowpoint City in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Here’s the complete guide to it.
How to Access the Fight Area¶
You can access the fight area by heading to the south of Snowpoint City and talking to the man by the boat. He will ask if you want to access the Battle Zone, which is impossible to Surf to. The first place you will land at is the Fight Area.
The first time you arrive, your rival will approach you and show you were the Battle Tower is. First, though, there are a couple of things to do in the Fight Area itself.
Items¶
To the left of the Pokémon Center, there are eight berries - four Pomeg Berries and four Hondew Berries.
Berry | Use |
---|---|
Pomeg Berry | Makes a Pokémon more friendly, but lowers HP |
Hondew Berry | Makes a Pokémon more friendly, but lowers Sp. Attack base points |
The old woman inside of the Poké Mart, to the south of the city, will give you a Scope Lens.
It will boost the holder’s critical hit ratio, and is a pretty valuable item to give to a Pokémon - especially when you’re about take on so many battles, if you plan on heading up to the Battle Tower after this.
Poké Mart¶
As with any other town, there is a Poké Mart where you can stock up on items before attempting the Battle Tower. Since you’ve unlocked every Gym Badge, the items you’ll find on arriving here after the eighth gym are the ones that will be here to stay for good. There’s everything from Poké Balls to Full Restores.

Other Locations¶
There are a couple of NPC houses by the Poké Mart. Unfortunately, they don’t offer much in the way of items, trades, or even good advice. Like most of the NPCs in the Fight Area, they’re here to emphasize how good you need to be to take on the Battle Tower and really hype up the fact that it’s strictly for the toughest trainers.
Then, of course, there’s the Pokémon Center where you can heal up before moving on. There are a few NPCs inside of the Pokémon Center, but they’ll do the exact same as every other NPC in this town - hype up the Battle Tower.
Once you’ve healed up, you can head on to the Battle Tower.
