How to Win¶
Because the doubles, just like the singles, see a lot of diversity in their teams, it’s hard to predict exactly how to beat them. It’s impossible to have a counter on your team for every single Pokémon you might come up against (and the Battle Tower was designed very deliberately to make it tricky).
The best thing you can do is pick Pokémon that have high defense stats and a variety of move types. That way, if you accidentally pit them against a Pokémon who’s strong against them, they can wether the blow and will have a move that’s effective.
Some good examples of Pokémon that can learn varying moves are Rotom , Gyarados , and Scizor . However, there are plenty of good ones, and it’s all about experimenting to find the team that’s right for you. Just remember to utilize high stats and give your team items to help them out.
