Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Mt. Coronet (towards Peak)

By
Vincent Lau

This page is a guide for reaching the peak of Mt. Coronet.

(1 of 2) We recommend entering Mt. Coronet from Route 207, but it’s up to you.

We recommend entering Mt. Coronet from Route 207, but it’s up to you. (left), Coming from Route 207 will place you here. (right)

After rescuing the Legendary spirits from the Galactic HQ in Veilstone City, you’ll need to enter Mt. Coronet once more to chase after Cyrus.

To begin with, we suggest entering Mt. Coronet via Route 207, which is near Oreburgh City. Alternatively, you can enter via Route 208, near Hearthome City.

Coming from the west entrance, Surf across the water nearby to the east. On the other side, head south and grab the Protein. Then squeeze along the narrow path further east. Be very careful not to jump over the ledge; instead follow the top of the ledge east. Use Rock Climb to scale the wall and then head up the stairs.

On this floor, you’ll begin near the south-east corner. Go up, then take a left. Head up the nearby steps and grab the Max Potion on the right. Then shuffle towards the opposite end of this elevated area, where there’s a lone rock with a hidden Ether. Moving on, follow the narrow path south. Keep going south and grab the Escape Rope by the rocks.

Next, go back up a bit and walk up the steps. First, head left and follow the path south to reach an exit. On the other side, you’ll be back at Route 207, but higher up. Use Rock Climb to descend the nearby rocky wall. At the end, you can retrieve an Iron. Return to Mt. Coronet and proceed north from the previous steps. Dash across the wooden bridge, then go down the narrow stairs to the south.

(1 of 2) When you exit via the south-west cave, you’ll emerge back at Route 207.

When you exit via the south-west cave, you’ll emerge back at Route 207. (left), Here, you can grab an Iron that you may have spotted earlier. (right)

Below the bridge, follow the narrow path south to claim TM80 Rock Slide. Afterwards, head in the opposite direction, going underneath the wooden bridge. On the other side of the bridge, grab the Revive nearby towards the left. Head east; go up the next steps and run across the second wooden bridge.

Once you’ve crossed the bridge, carefully head south. Don’t jump over the ledges or you’ll return to the entrance. Instead, go left and follow the rest of the path, underneath the bridge. At the north-west corner, there will be a cave leading to another room. If you came here early, the cave will be blocked by a mysterious painting.

On the other side, head up and ascend the stairs on the right. You’ll emerge on the next floor (South: 3F). Before continuing, go down the nearby stairs on the right. You’ll be in a similar room to before. Go right and search the rock at the back, past the steps, for a hidden Max Revive. Then return to South: 3F.

The path here is very straightforward: Head north, up the steps, then continue onwards to the exit. However, from here, you’ll start to run into Team Galactic’s henchmen, who’ll do anything to stop you from reaching their boss.
