You’ll begin in front of the entrance to Rose Tower itself. Hop will be waiting up ahead, while Piers and Marnie will be on standby next to the monorail entrance. Before storming the building, go right and pick up TM93 Eerie Impulse hiding behind the Macro Cosmos sign. You can walk off the path, into the short grass.
Next, head towards the south-west corner, past where Piers and Marnie are. Search the far corner, along the bottom of the screen, to find a hidden Rare Candy. Then go all the way north, to the left side of the tower. Next to the lamp post, pick up the Electric Seed. Now go around the tower to the opposite side. Over here, retrieve the Cell Battery next to the lamp post.
Now enter the tower via the main entrance. Inside, Hop will lead you to the elevator to the higher floors. Before you can ride the elevator though, a Macro Cosmos staff member will come to stop you.
Macro Cosmos’s Elijah¶
Pokémon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Durant | 48 | Bug/Steel |
You already fought a Durant in Eric’s first party. But to save you the trouble, it’s weak to Fire (4x damage). Otherwise, pelt it with special attacks, but not Poison of course since it’s a Steel-type.
After the battle, go up and enter the elevator. This elevator was built with state of the art technology; you can even have Pokémon battles inside. Now why would you want that… oh, to keep intruders at bay! From here, you’ll face consecutive battles, but Hop will team up with you. He’ll also heal your Pokémon between each fight.
Macro Cosmos’s Jane and Macro Cosmos’s Mateo¶
If you need help, Bronzong is weak to Fire, Ghost and Dark. Don’t use Ground moves because it has Levitate. Neither Pokémon is that threatening, but Bronzong is evolved so you may want to get rid of it first.
Macro Cosmos’s Kevin and Macro Cosmos’s Carla¶
Mawile is the trickier of the two. Its Intimidate ability will reduce the Attack of both your Pokémon and Hop’s. Dubwool already has a disadvantage against Steel-types, so you’ll be doing most of the work. Anyway, you already fought one earlier, but Mawile is weak to Fire and Ground.
Macro Cosmos’s Adalyn and Macro Cosmos’s Justin¶
Eric also had a Steelix; it’s weak to Fire, Water, Ground and Fighting. As for Galarian Stunfisk, it’s weak to the same.
At last, you’ll reach the top of the Rose Tower. But you probably won’t be surprised to learn that there’s one final roadblock: it’s the queen herself!
Macro Cosmos’s Oleana¶
Pokémon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Froslass | 50 | Ice/Ghost |
Tsareena | 50 | Grass |
Salazzle | 50 | Poison/Fire |
Milotic | 51 | Water |
Garbodor | 52 | Poison |
Oleana’s party is full of predictably feminine Pokémon… and a Garbodor. Is that meant to represent her personality somehow? In any case, she has a varied team, so think carefully before you switch Pokémon.
Froslass is first. This female-only Snorunt evolution is weak to Fire, Rock, Ghost, Dark and Steel. It’s fast and can use Will-O-Wisp to burn and Hex to damage burned foes. Plus Double Team to boost its evasion. Try to quickly finish it with a fast Pokémon before it tries to play around with you.
Tsareena is a fully evolved Bounsweet. It’s a pure Grass-type, so it should be simple to take out (use Fire, Ice, Flying, Poison or Bug-types). That said, Bug-types should be wary of Acrobatics. Also, if you have a male Pokémon, it can use Attract to stop your Pokémon from attacking.
Her third ‘mon, Salazzle is an evolved Salandit. This female-only Pokémon is weak to Ground (4x damage), Water, Rock and Psychic. It’s also pretty fasty and likes to use Poison Gas to cause poison, then Venoshock to deal increased damage to poisoned Pokémon.
Milotic is the beautiful evolution of Feebas. Grass-types are ideal, but Electric-types should do fine. It can use Recover to restore HP and has fairly high Special Defence. If possible, slam it with strong physical attackers.
Finally, her trump card is Garbodor, which she’ll gladly Gigantamax. Its G-Max Malodor will inflict poison. It can also use Max Rockfall (Rock) and Max Quake (Ground). Because it’s a pure Poison-type, Ground and Psychic-types are the safest picks. Avoid Steel because of Max Quake.
After wiping the floor with Oleana, you’ll head over to Chairman Rose talking to Leon about grown up matters. You’ll then depart the tower with Hop and Leon. The next evening, you’ll be back at The Rose of the Rondelands. A League staff member will come to take you to Wyndon Stadium. Despite what happened yesterday, you can trust her. Or you can go there yourself.
