After discovering your first footprint, there’s a good chance the next prints you find belong to the Grassland Pokémon, Virizion. They’re small, but bright white, so they stand out in places that haven’t snowed. Even in places where there’s snow, they’re brighter than the snow itself and have a slight silhouette around them.

Far as we can tell, Virizion’s footprints can be found in Frostpoint Field, near the transition to Giant’s Bed, Giant’s Bed and the Old Cemetery. They’re commonly found in Giant’s Bed, although the zone is quite large, so they can be spread around a lot more than Cobalion and Terrakion’s prints.

Compared to the previous two Legendaries, hunting for Virizion’s prints will probably be more time-consuming and require more patient. You’ll likely need to scour the entirety of the Giant’s Bed, checking every nook and cranny. Hopefully you’ve got some good experience from looking for Diglett in the Isle of Armor!

Virizion is waiting just before the row of tall grass in front of the Old Cemetery.

When you’ve found 50 footprints and achieved 100% completion rate, you can breathe a sigh of relief. As usual, go and report your findings to Sonia back at Freezington. She’ll tell you that Virizion is somewhere in the Giant’s Bed. How helpful. Anyway, you want to head towards the area between the Iron Ruins and the Old Cemetery.

Of the trio, Virizion has great Sp. Defense, but poor Defense. Its other stats range from good to great, but it suffers from a 4x weakness to Flying. Offensively, it’s not as threatening as the other Swords of Justice. But this one also knows Swords Dance, so you still have to be careful.

Again, Virizion has two Fighting-type moves, which despite its lower Attack, can be a threat as time passes–and especially if it decides to sharpen its sword. Having a Ghost-type at the front of your party while you chuck Poké Balls would be a smart idea. As it knows Leaf Blade, a Ghost that also resists Grass is most welcome (eg. Chandelure).

If you weren’t a veteran Legendary Pokémon catcher, you should be one now! As a reminder, it helps a lot if you inflict Virizion with paralysis. A Pokémon that knows False Swipe is almost a necessity, unless you like living on the edge. Finally, check your supply of Poké Balls before you go out–particularly Ultra Balls.

On occasions, it may hail in the Giant’s Bed. Should this occur, you could wait until the next day, with the hope that the weather will improve. Or you could take matters in your hands. In that second scenario, please refer to our tactics for keeping Cobalion alive–the same ideas will work for Virizion.
