The Angel of Destruction is a Subquest in Shin Megami Tensei V. Most Subquests will reward you with a large amount of experience, some Macca, and then you’ll receive an item of sorts. Most of the time, it’ll be a Talisman which allows you to have access to the different Magatsuhi skills in the game.

Where to start The Angel of Destruction¶
You will not be able to get this quest until after defeating Ishtar and viewing the cutscene that allows you to enter the Demon Lord’s Castle. Once you have, you will see a Power right next to the castle’s entrance, who will have this quest for you. He says that Camael, one of the Archangels, is going to be landing soon and wants to meet with you.
Where to find Camael for The Angel of Destruction¶
In order to reach Camael, you will want to go to the Ochanomizu Leyline. If you don’t have this, go to where the Abscess was located in the Otemachi area, then drop down onto the highway north of it. You should find a building along the highway, so jump over to it to reach the Ochanomizu Leyline. Explore past it and on the southern side of this area is where you will be able to find Camael. Note that Aogami will give you a warning before you trigger the battle with him. Technically, the quest ends upon meeting with Camael, but you are still forced into a fight with him once you meet up with him.

Camael will be accompanied by two Powers during this battle, who are present from the very beginning. You are more than free to get rid of them, as they won’t come back, so that will be who you go after at the start. They are weak to Force and Dark, while being resistant to Electric and immune to Light. Both Powers have the same skillset, with Fang Breaker being an annoying move to see. This is a weak Physical attack to a single target, but the kicker is that it lowers that target’s attack by one rank. If you can live with it, then leave it alone, but you can always do something like Dekunda or Matarukaja.
However, the Powers also have access to Dekaja, meaning they can remove your buffs. They also know Hamaon, so you will not want anyone weak to Light, and Tarukaja, so you will want someone who can remove that, whether with Matarunda or Dekaja. As already said, you should get rid of the Powers, simply because of their ability to dispel your buffs and lower your attack. Once you have done that, Camael is a bit easier to take down. If you have protection against Fire, then Agidyne shouldn’t really be doing anything to your team. However, Camael does have a high Magic stat, so it will deal damage to those not protected against it.
You will also have to deal with Hades Blast, which is a move you probably haven’t seen yet. It’s basically a heavy Physical strike against the entire party, meaning it’s going to hurt. Unless you’re protect against Physical, too, then you just have to take the brunt of the pain and heal up afterwards. Thankfully, Camael only gets a single turn himself, so he can’t do much after his action. The final skill he has is Diarama, which allows him to heal himself or the Powers as you’re concentrating on them. Don’t worry about it and just do what needs to be done. He is weak to Ice, while being resistant to Fire and immune to Light. Once the Powers are gone, you are free to do all the buffs you want.
Camael will disappear after defeating him, which will also unlock him for fusion.
