Iced Out is a Subquest in Shin Megami Tensei V. Most Subquests will reward you with a large amount of experience, some Macca, and then you’ll receive an item of sorts. Most of the time, it’ll be a Talisman which allows you to have access to the different Magatsuhi skills in the game.

Get three Ice Gems for Jack Frost.
Where to start Iced Out¶
You will find the Jack Frost that gives out this subquest as part of normal gameplay. Whenever you reach the leyline fount in Mitatebashi, which is located right before the boss fight against Fionn mac Cumhaill, you will see the Jack Frost right next to it.
Where to find Ice Gems for Iced Out¶
At this point in the game, you will not be able to purchase Ice Gems from Cadaver’s Hollow. That means you will have to use other means to obtain them. Thankfully, unless you used them during battles, you should have a few stacked away in your inventory from looting the various treasures throughout your journey. There is a Treasure Box with two Ice Gems in the Container Yard area, as well as another with three Ice Gems in Konan 2nd Block. Additionally, for finding 20 Mimans, you will be rewarded with three Ice Gems, as well as another three at 35 Mimans.
If you somehow managed to use all of the Ice Gems, you have two options. One is to progress the story a little further to get another Navigator, then hope to get some Ice Gems from the random pickups. The other way is to fight Jack Frosts, since they have Ice Gems as a drop. The easiest spot for Jack Frosts is the warehouses right next to the Leyline in Shinagawa Pier. There are a whole slew of Jack Frosts inside those warehouses, although the drop isn’t always going to happen. Once you have three Ice Gems, return to the Jack Frost who gave you the quest to hand them over and finish.
Recommended Party¶
There is really no need for a specific party for this quest, since it’s possible you could finish it as soon as you have access to it. However, if you have to farm Jack Frosts for the Ice Gems, then you simply need access to Fire skills, since they are weak to it.
