Tips

The end of the road is near; only a handful of Challenges stands between you and Legend status. Of course, to become a Legend, you must complete every single Angler Challenge, which means catching all the rare fish.

For the new Challenges, you’ve already caught nearly every fish on the ground, but what about in the sky? In Central Levitania , there are clouds where you can fish towards the east side and near the middle, on the left side of the broken bridge.

Try the High-Flying Fish before the Golden Swordfish.

If the High-Flying Fish wants to play, it’ll be swimming in the east fishing spot. Although it rewards the most Stars for a Lordfish, it’s not the hardest Lordfish to catch. However, a powerful fishing rod and high stats are strongly recommended.

If necessary, you can buy a super-expensive Sea Cloud Rod from the Plushling Camp or a slightly weaker Whirlpool Rod from the Angler’s Association in Port Puerto. Or switch to a Carpenter and craft your own superior rod.

To remedy any poor stats, you can speak to the Tome of Shadows under the Al Maajik Library of Magic at night to reset your stats (available after beating the game and reaching Level 35). You want to fill your points in Focus, then Intelligence and Dexterity.

The above advice applies more for the Golden Swordfish , which sometimes appears in the central whirlpool in Tortuga Archipelago, where you can fish for the regular Swordfish. This is the strongest fish you’ll have faced, with truly epic boss music to go with it.
