Tips¶
It’s another busy Woodcutting season as you’re expected to climb up snowy mountains and go deep underground in your search for rare trees.
Drysand Desert has more than just Sugar Trees; inside the Subterranean Lake to the south-west of the desert, you’ll find some Desert Trees growing in small patches of grass underneath the scorching desert. Of note, the Great Desert Tree is located on the east side of this underground lake.
You already visited Mt. Snowpeak Summit during the main story, but chances are you couldn’t cause any damage to the trees then. Let’s see if things have changed… To reach the summit quickly, chat to the Guide Paladin standing by the entrance to Mt. Snowpeak.
Despite being up on the mountains, there are plenty of Fir Trees to cut. If you’re looking for the Great White Fir , sometimes it’s near the north of the mountain (where the Napdragon once was), to the right of the salesplush, or on the east side of the north-eastern peak.
Lastly, we have not one but two boss trees to contend with! Again, make sure your axe is the best you can get; you can buy a Sparkle Axe from Elderwood Village for instance. Also, check your stats are suitably high, giving priority to Strength.
The Sacred Fire Tree is a bit closer to home, located in the depths of the Lava Cave, south-west from the Crowned Champion’s house. You might not expect trees in such a harsh environment, but the Sacred Fire Tree has somehow survived in the south-eastern corner.
If you can cut down the Sacred Fire Tree, the next boss–the Sacred Water Tree –shouldn’t pose a problem. This elemental tree grows on a patch of land to the far west of sunny Tortuga Archipelago, surrounded by non-aggressive Spirits of Water.
