Tips

You’ve made it to Master! This is where the items you craft get more interesting–and the items needed to make them…

Starry Logs can be bought from the salesplush atop Cacto Cove or from logging the pretty trees. Some people trip up here because you’re not taught how to make Starry Beams ; instead, you must visit the beavers you met as a Novice and grill them for the recipe.

The Elder Starry Log isn’t sold in any shop though, so you’ll need to become (or ask) a Woodcutter for one. Likewise, the Sinister Branch requires a Woodcutter’s help too, by felling the Sinister Tree in Deep Elderwood.

For the elemental logs, such as the Fire Log , you can buy these from the Leafe in Marimo’s open workshop in Elderwood Village. Giant Tree Nuts can also be bought from the Leafes’ shop in Elderwood Village.

Giant Claws require defeating any of the Wraith bosses, such as the Earth Wraith that appears in the Elderwood at night. Similarly, you need to fell a Bigbeak in the West Grassy Plains to get your hands on a precious Rainbow Feather .

Speak to your old friend Beavy to learn how to make Starry Beams.

Pink Silk Threads are easier, dropped by Arachnes in the Subterranean Lake or bought from the Cacto Cove salesplush, along with Pink Silk . The same saleplush sells the elusive Starry Thread or you can beat up the nearby Star Catterpillo at night.

King Gels are a bit obvious, found after a heated battle with a Jellking in the Deepsea Cave. Snow-White Feathers , on the other hand, are slightly counter-intuitive, plucked from the Eyes of Darkness, an owl that appears in Deep Elderwood at night.

For Glittering Coral , try the bar on the Port Puerto beach, just before heading to Tortuga Archipelago (with the Port Shopping+ Bliss Bonus). Meanwhile Happy Daisies are flowers you can pick up from around Levitania.

The Swordfish Fin will require an Angler to fish the Swordfish from the centre of Tortuga Archipelago–not a difficult task unless the Golden Swordfish appears instead. Similarly, Dark Scales appear after fishing a Bass of Darkness in the Drysand Desert.

Finally, Celestial Ingots can only be made by a Master Blacksmith.

The actual crafting shouldn’t pose a problem, but if your crafting pace is slowing down and you’re not seeing any “Nice!” or “Great!” messages, do yourself a favour and craft the best saw you can.

Also check your stats are suited for your Life–you want high Vitality, followed by Dexterity and Strength. If they’re too low, you can reset your stats by speaking to the Tome of Shadows under the Al Maajik Library of Magic at night (upon completion of the story and reaching Level 35).
