Tips¶
You’re moving up a little now, up towards Mt. Snowpeak’s Waterfall Cave . To get there, head east from the Crowned Champion’s house, near the middle of the mountain.
Most of the Challenges here are repeats of older Challenges, except you’ll be mining iron ore and blue ore deposits. If you didn’t find enough Minty Ores earlier, you’ll probably find tons here.
Like before, finding 3 Aquamarines will require a bit of luck (and getting them from a bounty clerk doesn’t count), but just keep plugging away at the blue ore deposits, especially the superior and amazing ones.
For Quality Minty Ore , you’ll want to mine the silver ore deposits in Tortuga Archipelago, available after completing Part 2: The Princess and the Dragon. Again, it’s still trash ore, just better quality, so shouldn’t be hard to find.
When you reach the bottom of the list, you’ll face your first “boss” deposit, the Winged Wingstone . This is the gigantic wing-shaped rock halfway through the cave–you literally can’t miss it.
Because it’s a boss, it has a lot more HP than a regular deposit, but the kicker is that it gradually recovers HP . So if your damage isn’t up to par, the wingstone will heal away any damage, wasting your time.
Furthermore, bosses can alter the position of their sweet spot. If you see the deposit shimmer and hear a strange chime, this signifies the sweet spot has moved and you must find it again.
If you find you’re not doing significant damage, it may be time to buy or craft a better pickaxe. You can get an Iron Pickaxe from Castele General Goods in Castele Square with the Shopping+ Bliss Bonus.
