Tips¶
Honestly, the path to become a Legend is far more difficult than the path to become a God, if only because of the requirement to cut down 500 trees.
So count your blessings you’re only asked to cut down a dozen more trees, even if two of them are extra-sturdy boss trees.
Actually, even the standard Divine and Gigaga Trees are relatively sturdy; if you find they’re taking ages to fall, that’s a good sign you need to boost your Woodcutting stat ASAP.
Having a high Woodcutting stat isn’t essential for the standard trees, but you’ll need them for the boss trees, especially the Ancient Divine Tree.
You’ll find the Ancient Divine Tree towards the west side of the Forest Shrine, by taking the south-west path around towards the south side, and the Great Gigaga Tree in the south-east corner of the Central Grasslands.
Of the two, the Great Gigaga Tree is much easier to fell, so obviously start with that first, before tackling the harder Ancient Divine Tree. As we hinted at moments earlier, you will need a high Woodcutting stat to maintain decent damage.
Before you entered Origin Island, Divinus increased your stat limit to 100 and you’d do well to take advantage of that higher limit. So if you’ve got points in extraneous stats, visit the Tome of Shadows or use the Demonic Mirror to fill them into Strength, then Dexterity and Vitality.
Your stats are important, but you won’t get far with an outdated Axe either. If you’re a Carpenter, you can add a Goddess’s Bead (gathered from the fountain on the 1st Floor of any Ancient Tower trial) for Special Tree Damage+ or Soul Stone(+) for Tool Power+.
With your damage sorted, the rest is easy. Like all boss trees, simply locate the sweet spot, then whack it with charged or strong axe swings, and repeat the process when the sweet spot shifts locations. Once your Special Skill gauge is full, unleash it at the sweet spot for best effect.
