Hylian Rice can be found hidden in the grass around the Necluda region.
This grain is the favorite among residents of Kakariko Village. It’s grown in regions with a lot of water and is quite versatile. Used as an ingredient in things like risotto and rice balls.

Hylian Rice can be purchased from the general stores in various towns. You can buy 5 from Hateno Village, 4 from Zora’s Domain, 3 from Korok Forest and 2 from Gerudo Town.

Besides that, the main way to accumulate Hylian Rice is to cut down tall grass in the Necluda region (East or West) using a sword. However, Hylian Rice will not spawn if you go too far west. For example, west from Fort Hateno or starting from the Great Fairy Fountain in Kakariko Village.
Some good places with lots of tall grass include the area near Hateno Tower–especially to the north and south. You could also search the Phalian Highlands, south-east from Kakariko Village.
