(1 of 2) Welcome to the calm before the storm.

Welcome to the calm before the storm. (left), Because it’s the third rest area, there are three Fairies. (right)

How are you holding up? This is the last rest floor of the Final Trials, which means it’s the last time you’ll be preparing.

Strategy

When you enter, sneak over and grab the three Fairies, found on the left and right side of the exit, as well as near the cooking pot. The enemies found in the last bunch of floors all hit very hard, so additional safety nets are always appreciated.

(1 of 3) If you enter with 3 Fairies, no Fairies will spawn initially.

We probably don’t need to guide you by now, but since we’ve already come so far… As a reminder, loot the three chests on the right, containing a Royal Broadsword, Royal Shield and Royal Bow; these are all some of the best gear you can get. Next, destroy the wooden crates to loot the arrows and food items.

(1 of 2) Cook each of the Hearty Bass individually, with no other ingredients.

Afterwards, focus on the left side, grabbing the mushrooms (including 2 Ironshrooms) near the trees, the two apples and, crucially, the three Hearty Bass in the pond. Finally, it’s time to get cooking! Similar to previous floors, cook the Hearty Bass individually, so you get three meals that max your hearts.

At this point, assuming you saved up the Armored Carp, you should now have at least 5 Armored Carp/Ironshrooms. Cook 4 of these together with a non-buffing ingredient to obtain a meal with a Level 3 Defense Buff. If you’re lucky to have found extra Mighty Bananas/Razorshrooms, cook up to 4 of these in a similar manner for an Attack buff.
