Boomerangs in Breath of the Wild¶
Boomerang Weapons can be used in melee range but they can also be thrown and they’ll return to you! You will need to press the pick up button as it approaches you to catch it though. These weapons are most commonly wielded by Lizalfos enemies.
Boomerang¶
Icon | Base Attack | Durability | Buff |
---|---|---|---|
8 | 18 | – |
These standard boomerangs are wielded by Lizalfos found in the Lanayru region and East Necluda. You can also find one in a treasure chest in Pumaag Nitae Shrine. This is the weakest boomerang in the game and you’ll have a much better time with this weapon if you find one of the stronger ones listed below.
Giant Boomerang¶
Icon | Base Attack | Durability | Buff |
---|---|---|---|
25 | 40 | Can be thrown further than a regular boomerang |
The Giant Boomerang is a large, two-handed weapon that can be thrown like a normal boomerang but also works well as a melee weapon too. You can obtain it from certain high-levelled Lizalfos found in the northern region of Hebra Mountains. But you can also obtain one from defeating the Hinox in East Necluda.
Lizal Boomerang¶

The Lizal Boomerang is a metal boomerang wielded pretty commonly by Lizfalos enemies. You can find them in various Lizalfos camps near Lake Hylia and East Necluda.
Lizal Forked Boomerang¶
Icon | Base Attack | Durability | Buff |
---|---|---|---|
24 | 25 | – |
This is a stronger version of the Lizal Boomerang and is wielded by higher-levelled Lizalfos enemies, such as Fire-Breath Lizalfos, Electric Lizalfos and Ice-Breath Lizalfos. You’ll find these types of Lizalfos enemies in camps in Gerudo Desert and the Tabantha Frontier.
Lizal Tri-Boomerang¶
Icon | Base Attack | Durability | Buff |
---|---|---|---|
36 | 27 | Increased damage against Guardian enemies |
This is the strongest iteration of the Lizal Boomerang and is wielded by the strongest Lizalfos enemies, such as Silver Lizalfos and Black Lizalfos. They’re found most commonly in camps in the Akkala Highlands and Hebra Mountains but this depends on how high of a level you are too.
Lizalfos Arm¶
Icon | Base Attack | Durability | Buff |
---|---|---|---|
12 | 8 | – |
The Lizfalos arm is a stal weapon but is also functional as a boomerang! If you defeat a Stalizalfos you’ll be able to pick up his arm. It’s not very durable, as is the case with all stal arm weapons.
