The Iron Sledgehammer is a pretty common item found throughout Hyrule. You can find one near Kakariko Village and at the center of Zora’s Domain, as well as other areas. This weapon is two-handed and slow to wield but it’s best use is as a mining tool. It can break ore deposits and weak walls with one hit. It’s good for battling Talus enemies too, since their weak points are ore deposits. Iron Sledgehammers are super good weapons to use when using stasis on big heavy items too, as they’re stronger in this department than your average sword.

This one-handed hammer is bought from Kilton at Fang and Bone for 199 Mon. It has a high durability but terrible damage, however, on the fourth swing it triggers the extra knockback special ability that sends enemies flying back. This is great against weaker enemies who can be knocked back, such as Bokoblins and Moblins and can be used strategically near bodies of water or near cliffs to get rid of them for good. Lizfalos can’t drown so flinging them into the water won’t do you any good, but the cliffs are still an option! And some bigger enemies can’t be knocked back so it’s pretty useless on them.
