Monster Extract

By
Vincent Lau

Um, is it safe to put this into a meal…?

A result of Kilton’s research into monsters, this suspicious spice can be used to punch up dishes while cooking. Apparently it can be used to make a number of monstrous meals.

Recipe Effect:

Randomly alters the meal’s original Potency, Duration and Recovery values as outlined below.

  • Potency: Level -1 (minimum 1), no change or Level +1 (maximum 3)
  • Duration: Set to 1 minute, set to 10 minutes or set to 30 minutes
  • Recovery: Becomes 0.25 heart, no change or +3 hearts

Where to Find

Monster Extract is sold exclusively from the Fang and Bone, a mobile shop run by Kilton. One jar costs 9 mon and there are 20 available to purchase.

(1 of 3) Location of the Fang and Bone near Hateno Village.

If you’ve never visited the Fang and Bone, it will be parked on the “left eye” of Skull Lake in Deep Akkala during night time. For easy access, fast-travel to the Zuna Kai Shrine.

After speaking with Kilton, his shop will appear a short distance outside every town except Korok Forest and Goron City from 9 pm to 5 am.
