In this page, we’ll show you the easiest way to deal with Windblight Ganon in Master Mode.

General Tips

To speed up the fight, we suggest giving yourself a Level 3 Attack buff. This can be from eating a meal or donning the Phantom armor set, for instance. The higher your damage output, the less of an impact the health regeneration will have.

If you’re not in a hurry, we also suggest bringing the Master Sword with you. This sacred weapon deals 60 damage and has boosted durability against Blight bosses. You need a minimum of 13 (natural) hearts to draw the sword; so you must complete 40 shrines (assuming no Divine Beasts).

Preparations

(1 of 2) Snatch this treasure chest at the Great Tabantha Bridge.

This fight should be relatively straightforward, so long as you’ve got a strong and durable bow. You can obtain a Royal Bow from the floating platforms on Great Tabantha Bridge, near Tabantha Bridge Stable, or Jeddo Bridge, south of Ridgeland Tower. Both locations are along the way to Rito Village.

Strategy

The key to victory is to keep calm and keep aiming for Windblight Ganon’s eye or face. A few hits should stun him, giving you time to wallop him with melee weapons. There are some air vents around that you can use to glide up and trigger bullet-time, giving you more time to aim.

The second phase of the fight is slightly more complicated, because Ganon has some extra attacks and tricks. However, focus on shooting his eye like before. If Ganon is preparing a reflected laser shot or Guardian laser, you can hide behind the central terminal or the many pillars.
