Introduction¶
This is a Tier list based on having zero Constellations unlocked, with more Constellations that you have, you can greatly change the tier of a character. This list is based on community opinion as well as through our own testing.
Main DPS¶
These are the characters you will spend most of your time in during the battle and are the core of your team and what you should build your party around.
Character | Element | Single Target DPS | Area of Effect | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Eula | High single target due to her quick Claymore attacks and high AoE damage from her Elemental Burst, on top of that, she has utility by reducing the physical resistance to enemies whilst increasing hers. | |||
Ganyu | High single target and high AoE damage with crowd control utility from taunting and freezing. | |||
Diluc | High damage in both single target and area of effect with low cooldowns. | |||
Klee | Similar in power to Diluc but has longer cooldowns and her AoE can be unreliable against fast moving enemies. | |||
Tartaglia | Single target damage not quite as high as the others but with very strong AoE, provides lots of Energy for the team and has a short cooldown on his Burst. | |||
Ningguang | High single target damage due to her short animations and high damage ratios but is let down by her lack of AoE capabilities. | |||
Keqing | Can fit in with most teams due to her flexibility but she depends on her Stamina to make the most of her highest damaging attacks. | |||
Kaeya | Outperformed by Ganyu but still a solid part of a permafreeze team. | |||
Bennett | Good single target damage due to being able to use his Elemental Skill repeatedly whilst in his Burst’s AoE but is let down with his lackluster AoE. | |||
Razor | Very strong single target damage in his Elemental Burst, almost a S. What lets him down is his subpar AoE and the fact you need to keep him in to produce his high damage which limits you switching to sub DPS. | |||
Xiangling | Average across the board, decent if you haven’t been blessed with the better characters. | |||
Zhongli | Similar to Xiangling, his damage is a little on the low side but he has excellent support to make up for it. | |||
Fischl | As a Main DPS, she doesn’t output enough damage and she is carried by her pet Oz. | |||
Sub DPS¶
These are the characters where you’ll switch to them for their Elemental Skills or Bursts before you switch back to your Main DPS.
Character | Element | Single Target DPS | Area of Effect | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Venti | When you’re looking for a Sub DPS, this is it, high ratios, provides good energy generation to himself and the party with extremely stong AoE. | |||
Ganyu | What can’t she do? Great damage, especially when enemies are grouped up. | |||
Albedo | Although he’s a Geo vision, with the right build he can deal high damage consistently. | |||
Fischl | Although her AoE is poor for the most part, she can still do high damage consistently without the need of being the one controlled, especially with Oz. | |||
Xingqui | He enables the Pyro characters to shine but due to his long cooldowns and needing a lot of energy regeneration his main DPS is blunted. | |||
Mona | She has a great skill that can taunt and group up enemies with a very powerful burst on a lowish cooldown. | |||
Xiangling | Great AoE due to the reach of her Elemental Burst but requires too much investment into energy regeneration. | |||
Tartaglia | Great damage when triggered with Vaporize and a flexible Elemental Burst on top. | |||
Chongyun | Enables the Pyro powerhouses to shine due to his ability to leave a field of Cryo on the floor with his Elemental Skill which is on a relatively low cooldown. | |||
Kaeya | In the same ballpark as Chongyun but without the ability to enable the Pyro characters, but with the potenial to having a higher Burst and also having better energy regeneration still makes him pretty strong. | |||
Traveler (Geo) | With the opportunity to easily upgrade their Constellations for free can’t be overlooked and good damage overall if you can keep up the 10% CRIT from the Elemental Burst. | |||
Beidou | Not particularly strong with single target damage but can have very strong AoE damage if you can utilize her Elemental Burst. | |||
Zhongli | Average sustained DPS due to the enemies moving out of range of his Geo Pillar but can still be useful with his potent Shield. | |||
Amber | Has access to a taunt and her Elemental Bust isn’t bad on an average cooldown but not a particularly great. | |||
Xinyan | Long cooldowns, low energy generation and subpar DPS makes for a poor character. | |||
Lisa | Average AoE doesn’t make up for being forced into using her Elemental Skill which ends up in a DPS loss for the party, only use her if you don’t have access to another Electro character. | |||
Support¶
These are the characters who keep the rest of the team ticking, they should provide either healing, buffs, debuffs, crowd control and ways to negate incoming damage, you’ll probably find yourself switching these characters out depending on what activity you’re doing.
Character | Element | Healing | Support | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Venti | N/A | Probably the strongest support in the game due to reducing the enemies magic resistance which can make a lot of content a breeze, on top of that, he can provide good Element regeneration. | ||
Jean | She can Cleanse harmful status effects and she also has a pretty potent Heal which gives you top survivablity. | |||
Diona | A very strong support character with the ability to Heal and also offer you Shields to mitigate the damage, she can also generate Element regeneration particles. | |||
Bennett | He can keep up a large attack buff for long periods of time and can heal with his Elemental Burst which gives great survivablity. | |||
Sucrose | N/A | She synergises well with most party setups and also has a Elemental Mastery buff. | ||
Qiqi | N/A | She provides the highest healing in the game but can’t generate energy particles and has no other support abilities. | ||
Traveler (Anemo) | N/A | Similar to the other Anemo characters but has a shorter cooldown on their Elemental Skill but can be harder to play correctly. | ||
Zhongli | N/A | Strong Shields on a short cooldown makes him a decent support but he can lower your overall DPS due to his lack of Energy regeneration. | ||
Barbara | N/A | Similar to Qiqi but with much longer cooldowns, only use if you don’t have anyone else to Heal. | ||
Beidou | N/A | Provides some decent damage reduction from her Elemental Burst and she can Parry with her Elemental Skill, OK for support but there are better. | ||
Noelle | N/A | As this is a zero Constellation tier list, she’s just not very good, if you have her Constellations maxed out, she’d become an S due to her high defense and strong Shields. | ||
