Steps¶

- Go to the big “Symbol of Vennessa tree”
- Hunt down the Abyss Order enemies
- Return to Mondstadt and talk to Jean
- Enter the Tavern
Ask Barbara about Jean’s condition¶
Head to the Cathedral in Mondstadt and go inside, head to the front and speak to Barbara, she’ll tell you how Jean has already left and that she’s probably gone to Lady Venessa’s Place again.
Go to the big “Symbol of Vennessa” tree¶
Teleport to the Windrise Statue of the Seven and head towards the humongous tree a little to the southwest and you’ll get a scene.
Hunt down the Abyss Order enemies¶
You’ll now have to chase one of the Abyss Order, head to the west and go inside the small crevice in the rocks, this will unlock a special one-time domain named “Hunt down the Abyss Mage”. Jean will join you as a playable trial character for this domain.
As soon as you enter, you’ll get a scene which will have Jean explain to you that she can heal via her Elemental Burst Dandelion Breeze, after the scene ends, continue forward and take care of the two Hilichurls guarding a Common Chest with Jean’s Elemental Skill Gale Blade which will push them off the cliff, open the chest, then head back a little and turn to the west, go down the stairs and past the Door of Resurrection and down another set of stairs.
As you get to the bottom, you’ll see a wall of rocks in front, this can be destroyed with Jean’s Gale Blade but you’ll have to defeat the five enemies first, the Hydro Samachurl is the only enemy worth worrying about as it can heals its allies, make sure to defeat it first, if you use Jean’s Gale Blade whilst facing the water, you can kill them instantly. Now go back to the wall of rocks and attack it with an Elemental Skill to reveal a Common Chest, open it and continue north across the bridge and go through the door.
In this next room you’ll see a couple of Hilichurls, run up to them and charge Gale Blade next to them, turn towards the cliff and release them to their doom, run past the fire turret and head towards the Cryo Slimes, once again charge Gale Blade and launch them into the fire turret to deal some major damage, defeat what’s left and continue across the dilapidated bridge to a group of Hilichurls, defeat them and press on.
Go through the door and you’ll see a chest, go towards it and another group of Hilichurls will appear, charge up Gale Blade and throw them of the cliff and once they are defeated, you’ll have to fight a mini-boss.
Albrecht - the Pyrochanter¶
Albrecht is a normal Pyro Abyss Mage but with a bit more health, you’ll want to charge Jean’s Gale Blade on the Cryo Slimes and then launch them at Albrecht which will cause a nice chunk of damage to its Shield, do this a few times until its Shield is broken, it’ll will be stunned for a short while, this is a great time to attack with Hydro, Cryo, Electro as well as Jean’s Anemo, the most dangerous move to watch out for is when it starts sending blasts of fire along the ground in the player’s direction and summoning three demonic heads in a triangle formation to spew fire at the player’s location, this is easy to avoid because it doesn’t track.
Keep attacking it and it won’t get its Shield back up, if it does repeat what you did earlier with the slime, once it’s defeated, you’ll get a short scene and then receive a little reward for completing the challenge, open the chest for some more loot and then leave the domain via the blue gate.
Return to Mondstadt and talk to Jean¶
Head back to the Mondstadt gates and speak to Jean, you’ll have a short scene with Swan telling you about another request that needs Jean at the Angel’s Share Tavern.
Enter the Tavern¶
Head to the tavern which is at the northeast and go inside, and you’ll get a cut scene. Head to the second floor terrace and go through the door to the balcony, talk to Jean and once you are done, it will complete the quest.
