The Lyre is an instrument that was added in version 1.4 with the Invitation of Windblume event in Genshin Impact. This incredible gadget allows you to play any song to your heart’s content considering you have the talent for it. If you’re not the creative type, don’t fret, as some of the amazing community has done the hard work for you.
How Did You Get the Windsong Lyre¶
Originally the Windsong Lyre was a reward from the Invitation of Windblume event with version 1.4. This required you to participate in a multitude of festive challenges that rewarded you with a currency called “Festive Tour Tickets”. When you had accumulated enough of them, 280 to be exact, you could visit the event shop to purchase it.
How to Get the Windsong Lyre After the Event¶
Although you may have missed the event, you can still obtain this wonderful instrument by heading over to Mondstadt shopping district and talking to the Souvenir Vendor, Marjorie. After you talk to her, you’ll get several options to choose from. Take the second option “I’d like to get some special souvenirs, please.” This will give you the option to purchase the Windsong Lyre amongst other stuff for the steep price of 150,000 Mora.
How the Windsong Lyre Works¶
At first, the Lyre can feel overwhelming due to how in-depth it is with its many functions. This unfortunately puts some players off on trying to learn how it works. First things first, head into your inventory, and go to the gadgets tab to equip it.
With the Lyre equipped, use the gadget by pressing + if you’re playing on a PlayStation system or if you’re playing on the PC. Now that you’re in the Lyre screen, you’ll have three sets of seven notes. The seven notes are “do” “re” “mi” “fa” “so” “la” “ti”, and the middle row of notes is called the alto clef whilst the upper row is called the treble clef , and the bottom row is the bass clef . These will change the tone of the note.
The alto clef (middle row) is the default set of notes that are mapped out on the PlayStation as:
Note | Input | Note | Input |
---|---|---|---|
do | re | ||
mi | fa | ||
so | la | ||
ti | – | – |
The pitch of the notes can be changed by holding for the bass clef (lower row) and for the treble clef (upper row) respectfully.
For the PC, the default keys are mapped out as:
Treble Clef (Upper Row)¶
Note | Input | Note | Input |
---|---|---|---|
do | re | ||
mi | fa | ||
so | la | ||
ti | – | – |
With the PC, you don’t need to change the pitch by holding in a key or anything. Instead the keys are the three rows on your keyboard. So Q - U is the top row, A - J is the middle, and Z - M is the bottom as shown above.
Alto clef (Middle Row)¶
Note | Input | Note | Input |
---|---|---|---|
do | re | ||
mi | fa | ||
so | la | ||
ti | – | – |
Bass Clef (Bottom Row)¶
Note | Input | Note | Input |
---|---|---|---|
do | re | ||
mi | fa | ||
so | la | ||
ti | – | – |
