We’ve all been there: you spend hours customizing your character, giving them the perfect face, hair and accessories, only to see the character in game and hate what you’ve created. Luckily for you, customizing and changing your character’s appearance in Starfield is easy and cheap, meaning you could tweak your character over and over until they look perfect in all lightings!
Where to Change Appearance in Starfield¶
You can change your appearance pretty much from the get-go in Starfield. All you’ll need to do is complete the prologue area and have arrived at the first major city, New Atlantis. Once there, you can beeline over to the Commercial District and locate the shop Enhance!, which is found near the TerraBrew coffee shop and the GalBank.
Head into the building and speak with the guy working behind the desk. From here you can pay only 500 Credits (barely anything in this currency!) and you’ll get full access to the Character Customization screen again. You can change your body shape, body type, face, hair, make-up, you name it! Your character could come out of the shop an entirely new person.
And, to make it even better, you can even change your name and pronouns too. Unfortunately, this kind of drastic transformation is purely an aesthetic thing, and changing your entire character won’t work as a way to evade the law if that’s what you’re thinking! But if you are looking to do a bit more of an immersive roleplaying playthrough, you could use the Enhance! shop’s features to age your character or give it extra scars or change their hair. The ease of access to character customization could be a great story-telling tool!
