If you are getting into upgrading your weapons then you will want to get your hands on Polymer. Sadly, this resource can be a pain to find as it’s a level three exotic organic resource. This can leave you searching for hours trying to hunt down the resource with little to no luck. The guide below is here to help you find an easy way to farm as much Polymer as you need for your weapon mods.
Best Ways to Get Polymer in Starfield¶
Polymer is a resource that you will use when modding weapons, making it a must. Sadly, this is an exotic resource, so finding it in the wild is tough. You don’t mine it from a rock, but instead harvest it from living creatures, giving even more of an RNG hurdle to get over when trying to find it. You can use your scanner to narrow things down and make this a bit easier. While you can find it while exploring some planets this is a pretty inefficient way to gather Polymer and for the most part is a complete waste of time.
The best way to get this resource is by simply buying it. It seems that all weapon shops in Starfield sell Polymer, and if you’re looking for an easy-to-access shop to buy it from, head to Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis. There will be a limited stock each day, but you can simply wait for 24 hours to have the store restock and buy some more. In our test the cost of Polymer was 17 Credit a piece, making it cheap to pick up in larger quantities.
