The Free Star Collective in Starfield is one of the major factions players can join in the game. If you’re in the market for some rooty tooty cowboy shooty, then the Freestyle Collective is the place for you. Here’s a closer look at how to join the Freestar Collective.
How to join the Freestar Collective¶
The Freestar Collective is a faction where you can do a quest when you arrive at Akila City in the Cheyenna system. As you arrive, a ranger will inform you something is going on in the credit bank, which you can go and help if you want to.
Go down the main road, and look for the building on the right. You will find the Sheriff and some of the crew shouting at the comms for the gang inside the bank. Speak to the sheriff, and let him know you can help him out.
He will task you with being a neutral party, where you can go to the comms machine at the front of the bank and then speak to them. If you have ranked up your Persuasion skills, you can make the gang come out of the bank and surrender. If not, you must assault them after speaking to the sheriff again. You can either assault the front or get the key from the sheriff to enter the bank unexpectedly. If you decide to assault the bank, and have Sarah Morgan with you, she will disapprove of you fighting them. She’s not very cowboy, you see.
You then need to fight all the Gang leaders, which are level 2, with the leader being level 10, so it should be fairly doable. Each of the enemies have a quest objective on them, so you can freely find them all with ease. There’s also a vent to the top floor if you want to do some stealth options.
One you’re done, head back outside, and speak to the sheriff again. Complete the Job Gone Wrong quest, and you will get prompted with another one called Deputized, which takes you to a building called The Rock. This is the home of the Freestar Collective, where you can become a Ranger and join the ranks of the Freestyle Collective as a novice to the faction.
And there you have it, you now know how to join Freestar Collectives in Starfield. Good luck being a cowboy from here on out.
