There are quite a few quests to finish in Starfield’s main story. Some of them are shorter, while others tend to be on the longer side. Short Sighted is one of the shorter quests that takes you back to The Eye to help the team complete some needed repairs. The guide below goes over how to repair The Eye and finish Short Sighted.
How to Start Short Sighted¶
Short Sighted is a main story mission that takes place after you complete Starborn. It will begin as soon as the last mission is completed and is a bit annoying as all your Constellation companions will head to the eye and stay there until you finish the mission. This means that if they were following you, they will leave anyway possibly giving your crew an empty spot.
How to Complete Repairs on The Eye¶
When you’re ready to start Short Sighted, head up to The Eye and dock. Once you are on board several quest markers will pop up around the ship. This is due to a list of repairs needing to be done to spruce things up. You can complete the repairs in any order, but they all must be done. They are all marked with quest markers, so you won’t have any trouble at all finding them. To make things easier, you can start by helping Sam Coe on the right side of the ship though, where he is welding. To do this, simply interact with the welding gun next to him to finish the repair. Next, head to the left side of the ship to find Andreja, she will need your help with some parts in a nearby box.
Next, head to the main part of The Eye, where you will find Barrett tinkering with the computer. Check the computer and open the file to make sure everything is working. Lastly, head over to Sarah, and go past her to the right to find the wrench on the table. Interact with it to finish up the last repair. All you need to do now is speak with Vladimir, this will end the quest and start High Price to Pay.
