Starfield

Final Glimpses Walkthrough - Where to Get A Ship With 21LY Grav Jump

By
Jessica Dillon

Before you can proceed to the end of Starfield’s main quest, you will need to gather the last few artifacts. "Final Glimpses" iconFinal Glimpses is a mission that sends you to collect some of the final artifacts in the game, and due to it branching off at the end, it will take quite some time to complete. The guide below goes over how to get a ship with a 21LY Grav Jump and what happens when you arrive at Freya III.

You will need to find two more artifacts to complete Final Glimpses.

How to Start Final Glimpses

You will get the mission Final Glimpses after having your meeting with the Hunter and Emissary during In Their Footsteps. All you need to do is speak with Vladimir at "The Lodge" iconThe Lodge. Along with this, you will also get the mission "Missed Beyond Measure" iconMissed Beyond Measure and "Unearthed" iconUnearthed. You can do these in any order, but you may want to save Unearthed for the end as it has you making a critical decision and won’t fully complete until Final Glimpses does.

Where to Buy a Ship With a 21LY Grav Drive

The game will suggest that you buy a ship with a 21LY Grav Drive. Alternatively, you can just upgrade your "Astrodynamics" iconAstrodynamics Skill once to get the same effect if you don’t want to spend credits. If you don’t mind splurging then head down to the "New Atlantis" iconNew Atlantis spaceport and speak with the ship maintenance technician. He has a ship called the "Rambler" iconRambler that will meet your needs for just 57,600 credits. You can buy a nicer ship with the 21LY Grav Drive if you want, but this is the fastest option to get on with the main story.

How to Get The Final Artifacts

We highly suggest that you go for the artifact that isn’t on Freya III first. This artifact is just a standard random spawn. In our case, we had to fight through a mine with Ecliptic Soldiers in order to reach it at the end. This is rather easy to do and should only take you around twenty to thirty minutes to get through. Remember that a "Starborn" iconStarborn will materialize in front of the artifact so that you don’t get surprised at the end. Once you’re at the artifact, break it free, pick it up, and return to your ship.

(1 of 5) Grab the first artifact and then head to Freya III.

Once you have the first artifact, you will want to head to Freya III. Upon entering the system, a distress signal will come through. When you listen to it, it will prompt you to land at Nishina Research Station, once you do use the intercom and go inside, the mission will abruptly change to a new main mission called "Entangled" iconEntangled as you are interacting with the security guard. In order to complete Final Glimpses, you must first make it through Entangled. Once this is done, you can head on to Unearthed or "Revelation" iconRevelation if you already have it unlocked.

Starfield is an action role-playing game from Bethesda Game Studios set in a futuristic interpretation of space exploration and colonization. Earth has long been abandoned, but there are plenty of other planets in different star systems where humans have ventured and settled. You have the freedom to create your own character with a unique background, but the main story will take you through a series of adventures as you uncover more information about mysterious artifacts which create gravitational anomalies. Along the way, you can build and customize your own space ship, establish your own outpost, befriend and romance new companions, and more. As a Bethesda game, you can also expect to see a lot of creative mods which have the potential to change your experience of the base game, or take it in an entirely new direction.
