Another remixed Asterisk holder battle to make your head scratch; this time, Khint and Profiteur do the honours.
Level | HP | Weak to |
---|---|---|
30 | 54000 | Nothing |
If you’ve awakened the Fire Crystal, this battle should be a doozy. However, like all good Bravely battles, there are a few tricks you should be aware of.
Firstly, Tax on the Cupid (aka Profiteur) uses Large BP Drink every turn Khint is present to increase Khint’s BP to max.
Meanwhile, Khint will always spend one turn using Sword Magic, ranging from Poison, Sleep, Silence to–the worst one–Death. On each turn he has Sword Magic imbued, he will attack 4 times with the BP given to him by Profiteur.
Fight without a proper strategy and Khint is sure to rain havoc on your party, but with a strategy, this battle is far too easy. Once Profiteur or Khint drops below half HP, Khint will even Depart from battle just like in the main game.
Ideally you want to focus your attacks on Profiteur, since any damage you inflict on Khint will be wasted. However you shouldn’t ignore Khint; instead you can use Dispel (White Mage) to remove his Sword Magic or Kairai (Ninja) to focus his attacks on a Swordmaster etc.
If you’re worried about Khint outrunning your Dispel user, you can make use of the Safety Rings you’ve found (in Starkfort and the Underflow) to avoid the instant-death ailment.
Once Khint is out of the picture, Profiteur will use a Large BP Drink on himself and then spend every remaining turn Braving to use Takeover twice, eventually rendering him immobile every other turn. Well, that’s smart…
