Sub-Scenario: Royal Performance

By
Vincent Lau

This sub-scenaro starts from Praline’s sub-scenario; first, head for Eisen Bridge and discuss with Commander Goodman about dealing with Praline. The diva appears unchanged from previous fights; but once you take off a chunk of her HP, a familiar face jumps in to back her performance…

Boss: Praline and The Jackal

Level HP Weak to
66 90,000 (Praline), 99,999 (The Jackal) Nothing

Now this is a surprise… When The Jackal appears, Praline will stop calling for bodyguards and the battle becomes slightly more straightforward. Focus your attacks on Praline, as this battle will end when either character drops (and you’ve already done some damage to Praline already).

The duo only have physical attacks at their disposal; if their damage output is getting to you, don’t be afraid to put up Rampart or hide with Utsusemi. Fight back against Praline’s Love Power with abilities that lower attack or the White Mage‘s Disepl. If you’ve a free hand, you can rob a Star Pendant from Praline.

When the battle begins going awry for our unlikely duo, The Jackal will flee the scene with Praline. Next, a case of serious mistaken identity will lead The Jackal to take Praline all the way to Ancheim. Follow the two to Ancheim’s royal palace, where our heroes arrive on the scene to put an end to what they believe is shady business.

Boss: Khamer, The Jackal and Praline

Level HP Weak to
66 75,000 (The Jackal), 70,000 (Other two) Nothing

You just fought The Jackal and Praline earlier, so you should be well-informed of their prowess. Adding Khamer to the mix doesn’t cause much extra complications, besides the need for Stop immunity, plus Earth resistance to combat Quara.

As before, focus your attacks on Praline, as Love Power can be annoying–though mostly useless on Khamer. Don’t bother stealing, as only Praline carries anything–a Star Pendant –and you really don’t need any more of those!

When either Praline or Khamer falls, The Jackal will begin unleashing his fury, Braving three times in one turn. If his attacks are proving bothersome, consider taking him out first–as he can’t Brave when he’s incapacitated. Otherwise, the timing is easy for you to Default to withstand his blows.

Best you leave the good king for last; as before, he occasionally Defaults, so try to spread out your attacks for better returns. Or use attacks that ignore Default, like the Monk’s Qijong Wave, Ranger’s Targeting, etc. or the Valkyrie’s Pierce Default ability.
