Trouble in Caldisla

By
Vincent Lau

From Centro Keep, head south straight for Caldisla and then leg it to the royal palace. Don’t bother resting in the inn as you’ll be in no danger any time soon. Inside the palace, Tiz and company find a sight most ghastly.

Soon afterwards, they discover the king has been taken by the Eternians. Exit the palace and you’ll be taken to the inn; after some discussion, Edea will be the only one in the party. Lead Edea to the far west of town, where the orange exclamation mark is.

The next day, the party will regroup and be ready to set off to rescue the king. With Edea in tow, you just might be able to sneak into Lontano Villa–the Eternian stronghold.

Before you leave, you may wish to kit out Edea and grab some Black Magic scrolls in town. Prioritise the Fire and Thunder scrolls for now, as they’ll come in useful in Lontano Villa.

If you like to multi-task, Agnes would make a good Black Mage, with White Magic as her Job Command. Otherwise you could make Edea a Black Mage to balance out the party (but be sure to give Ise-no-Kami to an appropriate physical attacker). Just bear in mind that Edea makes a better physical attacker than a mage.

Outside town, you’ll be taught about Special Moves and you’ll also be able to use them from now on. To configure Special Moves, go to “Special” in the main menu. At the beginning, you’ll only have the sword Special Move, “Hack and Slash”.

You can obtain more Special Moves and parts to customize your Special Moves by rebuilding the corresponding buildings in Norende village. Better get those StreetPass tags and update data frequently to get those Norende residents then!
