Limgrave has a plentiful supply of unique Ashes of War to discover and this page serves to show you how to find all of them in the Limgrave region of Elden Ring.

Ashes of War are used to enhance weapons and other equipment with powerful special attacks. Limgrave itself has over 20 to collect, many of which are found in the field or from defeating enemies and bosses. They are always in the same location so you can target the ones that suit your build first.

Ash of War: Repeating Thrust¶

This Ash of War will be dropped upon defeating the Night’s Cavalry boss that patrols the bridge near Agheel Lake North at night. It can be used on all thrusting weapons except Colossal weapons and grants the Keen affinity status which scales with Dexterity at the cost of Strength and base damage.

Ash of War: Gravitas¶

Dropped from a Slender Wayfarer enemy that wanders near the stone arch with the bonfire on the beach just down from the Seaside Ruins Site of Grace. Can be used an all melee armaments that are not considered small and provides the Magic affinity which adds Magic Damage and scales with Intelligence, but reduces Strength, Dexterity and Base Damage scaling.

Ash of War: Storm Stomp¶

In the southeastern area of the Gatefront Ruins there is a set of stairs that leads to an underground room containing a chest with the Ash of War and the Whetstone Knife. Can be used on all melee armaments and grants the Storm Stomp ability. Also grants the Quality affinity which balances Dexterity and Strength scaling at the cost of Base Damage.

Ash of War: Determination¶

Find the Teardrop Scarab at Agheel Lake North on the path that leads to the bridge. Kill it to receive the Ash of War: Determination. This can be used on all melee weapons and grants the skill Determination. It also provides the Quality affinity which balances Dexterity and Strength scaling at the cost of Base Damage.

Ash of War: Stamp (Sweep)¶

On the beach in western Limgrave, just east past the Giant Land Octopus enemy near some stone pillars. Some glowing footprints can be found here which you should attack at just the right moment to reveal the Teardrop Scarab who you can then kill to receive the Ash of War. Ash of War: Stamp (Sweep) grants the skill Stamp (Sweep) and can be used on Swords, Axes and Hammers (with the exception of small and medium swords). It also grants the Heavy affinity which increases Strength scaling and reduces all other scaling types.

Ash of War: Unsheathe¶

Another Ash of War dropped from a Teardrop Scarab. This one can be found just northwest of the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace. Grants the Unsheathe skill and can be used on katanas. It also grants the Keen affinity which boosts Dexterity scaling but reduces Strength and Base Damage.

Ash of War: Golden Vow¶

Southwest of the Deathtouched Catacombs, you will find a Mounted Knight that patrols the area. Slay the enemy to obtain the Ash of War: Golden Vow. Grants increased power and defense to your character and any allies and can be used on all melee armaments. Also provides the Sacred affinity, which adds Holy Damage and Faith scaling, but decreases physical damage and most damage negation.

Ash of War: Glintstone Pebble¶

Purchased from Sorcerer Rogier who is found in Stormveil Castle or at Roundtable Hold for 1500 Runes. Grants the Glintstone Pebble skill and can be used on Swords and Polearms capable of thrusting. It also grants the Magic affinity, which adds Magic damage and Intelligence scaling, but reduces Base damage and Strength/Dexterity Scaling.

Ash of War: Storm Wall¶

From the collapsed bridge right next to Stormveil Castle in Stormhill, fall down and you will find a little ball-shaped creature who will try to roll away from you. It is fast so melee users might struggle so come prepared with a ranged weapon of some kind before you frighten it away. Defeat it to receive the Ash of War: Storm Wall. Grants the Storm Wall skill and can be used on small and medium shields. It also provides the Standard affinity, which respects the weapon’s original scaling and damage.

Ash of War: Bloody Slash¶

Found during the Fort Haight raid as part of the Kenneth Haight NPC quest after battling your way to the very top of the Fort’s battlements. Kill the Beast Crest Heater Knight enemy to receive it. Grants the Bloody Slash skill which can be used on all Swords except Colossal. It also provides the Blood affinity, which adds Arcane scaling and adds bleed damage but decreases all other scaling types.

Just west of the Minor Erdtree in Mistwood, you will see a Teardrop Scarab rolling down a hill. Kill it and it will drop the Ash of War: Ground Slam. Grants the Ground Slam skill which can be used on all melee armaments. It also provides the Heavy affinity, which increases Strength scaling but decreases all other scaling types.

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 1500 Runes. Grants the Stamp (Upward Cut) skill which can be used on Swords, Axes and Hammers except small and medium swords. It also provides the Heavy affinity, which increases Strength scaling, decreases all other scaling types.

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 800 Runes. Grants the Kick skill which can be used on all melee armaments. It also provides the Heavy affinity, which increases Strength scaling, decreases all other scaling types.

Ash of War: Endure¶

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 600 Runes. Grants the Endure skill which can be used on all melee armaments. It also provides the Heavy affinity, which increases Strength scaling, decreases all other scaling types.

Ash of War: War Cry¶

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 800 Runes. Grants the War Cry skill which can be used on all melee armaments except daggers, thrusting swords and whips. It also provides the Heavy affinity, which increases Strength scaling but decreases all other scaling types.

Ash of War: Spinning Slash¶

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 1200 Runes. Grants the Spinning Slash skill which can be used on Swords, Axes and Polearms except Colossal versions. It also provides the Keen affinity, which increases Dexterity scaling but decreases Strength and Base damage.

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 1000 Runes. Grants the Impaling Thrust skill which can be used on all thrusting armaments except for Colossal versions. It also provides the Keen affinity, which increases Dexterity scaling but decreases Strength and Base damage.

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 800 Runes. Grants the Quickstep skill which can be used on all melee armaments. It also provides the Keen affinity, which increases Dexterity scaling but decreases Strength and Base damage.

Ash of War: Storm Blade¶

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 1800 Runes. Grants the Storm Blade skill which can be used on all Swords except Colossal and Twin Blades. It also provides the Quality affinity, which balances Strength and Dexterity Scaling, but decreases Base damage.

Ash of War: Parry¶

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 600 Runes. Grants the Parry skill which can be used on Daggers, Curved Swords, Thrusting Swords, Fists, Claws, and small and medium Shields. It also provides the Standard affinity, which respects the weapon’s original scaling and damage.

Ash of War: No Skill¶

Can be purchased from Knight Bernahl for 600 Runes. Doesn’t grant a skill and can be used on shields and torches. It also provides the Standard affinity, which respects the weapon’s original scaling and damage.
