There are at least 45 unique NPCs that can be found throughout the Lands Between, not including the multiple encounters with Palm Readers. Almost all of these individuals offer quests for the Tarnished to embark on, but it’s not always obvious where to find the NPCs, let alone how to complete their quests. This page offers a guide for where to find all known NPCs in Elden Ring and a recommended order for completing their quests.
All NPC Locations and Quests in Order for One Playthrough¶
We’ll cover all NPCs in each region, providing an overview of where to find them and links to their associated questline guide pages, which provide more detailed guides on how to complete them. We’ll then go through a brief narrative order which suggests how and when to tackle the quests as you explore each region.

Nepheli Loux | In a storeroom southwest of the Golden Seed tree location, in the central courtyard of Stormveil Castle | Nepheli Loux Questline |
White-Faced Varré¶
The game properly begins once you’re in Limgrave, and you’ll be introduced to some key characters as you explore this region. As such you should focus on finding and completing the first quest stage for each NPC in Limgrave before you move on to Liurnia of the Lakes or Caelid. The first one you’ll meet is White-Faced Varré, and there isn’t much to this encounter other than the initial conversation.
Melina and Renna¶
After resting at a third Site of Grace you’ll be introduced to Melina, who gives you the Spectral Steed Whistle. This is the first step to acquiring your mount, named Torrent. You can do a few more things before or after this to enhance your character, such as obtain the Spirit Calling Bell and find the Flask of Wondrous Physick and Upgrade your flasks. A more detailed guide to this can be found on our Essential Things to Do First page.
Once you’ve met Melina and acquired the Spectral Steed Whistle, you can visit the Church of Elleh at night to meet Renna, who can be found sitting on the walls of the ruined church. She’ll give you the Torrent mount, but that’s all for now.
Boc the Seamster¶
Next, we’d recommend finding Boc the Seamster, who is initially found in the form of a small tree in the patch of woods northeast of the road which runs southeast from Gatefront Ruins. You’ll hear the tree talking, and it will rustle unlike the others around it, revealing its sentience. You’ll need to roll into the tree to remove the spell which has been cast on Boc, then speak with him in his normal form. After resting at a Site of Grace, you can find Boc at the Coastal Cave, on the southwestern shores of Limgrave. You’ll need to kill the boss in the cave to acquire Boc’s sewing needle, then give it to him to advance the quest.
Sorceress Sellen¶
If you travel back to the area where you first met Boc, you can continue along the road eastward and over the bridge. Keep following the road south and you’ll soon reach the Waypoint Ruins. Here you can defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head in the cellar of the ruins, then rest at the Site of Grace. You can now open the doors at the back of the cellar to find Sorceress Sellen. This is a particularly useful NPC to know if you’re specialising in Sorcery, but you can still accept the offer to become her apprentice to advance the quest regardless of your combat preference.
Bloody Finger Hunter Yura¶
Once you’re done with Sellen at the Waypoint Ruins, head outside and ride towards the Agheel Lake shore to the southwest. Follow the shoreline to its southernmost point and then head directly west. You’ll soon encounter a large ruined structure in the field south of the lake, under which you’ll find Bloody Finger Hunter Yura and his camp. Speak with him to be warned of Flying Dragon Agheel in the lake, then speak with him again once you’ve defeated the dragon.
There’s a good chance that you’ll encounter Yura once more in Limgrave, as you’re invaded by Bloody Finger Nerijus outside Murkwater Cave, in the ravine which runs north from Agheel Lake (the same ravine which grants access to the cave where you find Patches, mentioned below). You’ll need to stay alive long enough for Yura to join you in the fight if you want to see him there, but don’t worry if you were too quick to kill Nerijus - Yura will be waiting for you further north in the ravine after the fight.
Patches¶
If you’re still in the ravine where you fought Bloody Finger Nerijus, head back to the Murkwater Cave entrance and go through the dungeon until the end. Here you’ll meet Patches (NPC), and you’ll need to open the chest to instigate a brief fight with him. The fight shouldn’t last too long, as Patches surrenders once you’ve inflicted enough damage. Patches will reveal that he has some things for sale after this, and you can take a look to purchase anything of use.
After resting, return to Patches and speak with him again. Once you’ve exhausted the dialogue options, open the nearby chest. This will teleport you to Mistwood Ruins, in the presence of some rather grumpy bears. You can kill the bears or just flee, then return to Patches in the cave after resting at a Site of Grace. Exhaust the dialogue options with him again here before you leave.
Blaidd¶
To begin Blaidd’s questline, you need to visit the Mistwood Ruins in eastern Limgrave, exploring it until you hear a howl in the distance. After hearing the howl, fast travel to the Church of Elleh and speak with Merchant Kalé and speak with him “About the howling in the Mistwood”. Kalé will then give you the Finger Snap emote, which you can use in the ruins when you hear the howling to summon Blaidd. This is your first encounter with Blaidd in Limgrave, but you can also summon him to help you defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, who can be found at the Forlorn Evergaol in southern Limgrave. You’ll then have the option to speak with Blaidd outside the evergaol.
Kenneth Haight¶
Once you’ve defeated Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, follow the main road north through eastern Limgrave, and keep following it north when you reach the bridge just beyond Waypoint Ruins. The road will turn east as you follow it north, and eventually lead to some large ruins located northwest of the Minor Erdtree. You should be able to hear Kenneth Haight announcing himself from the top of the ruins. Climb the ruins and follow the voice to find him, then speak with him to learn about his plight.
Kenneth will ask you to clear Fort Haight of enemies. He claims the fort belongs to him, and it’s located in the southeast of Limgrave, south of the Minor Erdtree. Once you’ve cleared the fort, return to Kenneth at the ruins and inform him. You can then rest at a Site of Grace before returning to Fort Haight, where Kenneth now dwells.
D, Hunter of the Dead¶
Now that we’ve covered all the NPCs and the start of their quests in the main part of Limgrave, we can move on to the NPCs in the northern part of the region, leading towards and into Stormveil Castle. Starting from the ruins where you first met Kenneth Haight, travel northeast along the road until you reach the Third Church of Marika. Behind the church you’ll find a Spiritspring Jump, which you can use to leap onto the hills above while mounted on Torrent. Do this, then use the next Spiritspring Jump to reach Summonwater Village.
Head along the road west from Summonwater Village, and keep an eye out for an NPC just off the road to the south. Here you’ll find D, Hunter of the Dead, who will mention that the village has been touched by death. You’ll need to kill the Tibia Mariner (Summonwater Village) boss, then speak with D again in the ruins. He’ll refer you to Gurranq, Beast Clergyman, who dwells at the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid.
Alexander the Iron Fist¶
Head along the road west from Summonwater Village until you reach a bridge, with the Saintsbridge Site of Grace on its western side. Once you’ve touched the site, ride into the hills to the south to find Alexander the Iron Fist, who is stuck. He’ll ask you to hit him a few times in order to free him, before thanking you and moving on.
Upon resting after this encounter, you can find Alexander at the bottom of Gael Tunnel, by entering the Rear Gael Tunnel Entrance, southeast from the road east of Summonwater Village, near the border between Limgrave and Caelid. There are some tough enemies here however, so you may want to save this encounter for when you enter Caelid for the first time, which isn’t recommended just yet.
Knight Bernahl¶
On the same road where you found the Saintsbridge Site of Grace, continue along the road southwest until you reach the Warmaster’s Shack. Here you’ll find Knight Bernahl, who sells some Ashes of War. There isn’t much else to this encounter with Bernahl, but you’ll be meeting him again in a different capacity later in the game.
Roderika¶
After meeting Knight Bernahl at the Warmaster’s Shack, continue southwest along the road until you reach Stormhill Shack. Here you’ll find Roderika, and you can speak with her multiple times to exhaust her dialogue. At the end of the conversation you’ll receive the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes, and Roderika will ask you to retrieve Chrysalids’ Memento from Stormveil Castle.
Once you’ve obtained Chrysalids’ Memento from Stormveil Castle and killed Godrick the Grafted, you can return to where you found the momento to find Roderika’s Crimson Hood.
Gatekeeper Gostoc¶
Now that you’ve encountered all the NPCs on the northern road, you can approach Stormveil Castle and defeat Margit, the Fell Omen. You can then follow the path up to the main gate, and turn left to find Gatekeeper Gostoc in a ruined structure. He’ll offer you a safer route into Stormveil Castle, via the wooden platforms to his left, but he will also offer to open the gates if you want more of a challenge.
Regardless of your choice, each time you die in Stormveil Castle, Gostoc will steal 30% of your Runes. The only way to get these back is by killing him when he appears near the Site of Grace where you defeat Godrick the Grafted, but he’ll only appear here after you’ve rested upon defeating the boss. However, we don’t recommend killing Gostoc, since Runes are easy enough to come by and he can offer you more unique items later in the game. Once you’ve seen both Nepheli Loux and Kenneth Haight’s Quests to their conclusion and have reached Crumbling Farum Azula, Gostoc will move to the Stormveil Castle throne room, where he’ll agree to sell you an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone for 20,000 Runes.
Sorcerer Rogier¶
Once you’re inside Stormveil Castle, you’ll eventually come across a small chapel on its western side. Here you’ll find Sorcerer Rogier, who offers some Ashes of War for sale. You should exhaust his dialogue options before you leave. Once you defeat Godrick the Grafted at the castle, Rogier will move to the Roundtable Hold. if you never found him within Stormveil Castle, he can still be found at Roundtable Hold once you’ve defeated Godrick. He’ll have some dialogue for you after this boss, and if you touch the bloodstain found in the Underground Crypt beneath Stormveil Castle (where the Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Stormveil Castle) dwells), this will also advance his quest if you speak to him at Roundtable Hold after examining it.
Nepheli Loux¶
You’ll first encounter Nepheli Loux in a storeroom southwest of the Golden Seed tree location, in the central courtyard of Stormveil Castle. Alternatively, you can head south from the Secluded Cell Site of Grace, although you’ll need to deal with a Troll to reach the door, making this the quicker, but more dangerous route. You’ll meet Nepheli just as she’s defeated a Banished Knight. After speaking with her, you’ll be able to summon her just outside the boss room to help you in the fight against Godrick the Grafted.
All NPC Locations and Quests in Roundtable Hold¶

D, Hunter of the Dead¶
You can meet D, Hunter of the Dead at Roundtable Hold once you’ve given at least one Deathroot to Gurranq, Beast Clergyman, who can be found at the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid. D will offer to sell some Incantations at this point, but you won’t be able to progress to the next step in his questline until you’ve completed the questline for Sorcerer Rogier and most of the questline for Fia. You can see their respective questline pages for more details on how to do this.
Diallos¶
You’ll first meet Diallos at the Roundtable Hold. He’ll tell you a little about himself and then remark about his missing servant, Lanya, who has apparently ran off. You won’t get much else out of Diallos for now, and he’ll disappear from Roundtable Hold after resting once you’ve had this conversation with him, but the questline will pick up again in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Twin Maiden Husks¶
The Twin Maiden Husks aren’t directly associated with any quests, but they offer a number of useful items for sale. In addition, you can offer Bell Bearings to the twins, which can be looted from enemies (as with Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing [1]) or obtained from slain NPCs. Each time you offer a Bell Bearing to the twins, the items on offer in their shop will increase. As a general rule, any NPC who sells things will often drop a Bell Bearing, which you can then hand over to thw twins so that you can continue to purchase whatever items the now dead NPC was selling.
Smithing Master Hewg¶
Smithing Master Hewg isn’t necessarily part of any substantial quests, other than a brief dialogue between yourself and Roderika, noted below. However, he’ll be eternally useful to you as a vendor, and as someone who can upgrade your weapons beyond +3 with smithing stones. In addition, he can allow you to change your Ashes of War, or even duplicate them if you provide him with Lost Ashes of War.
Fia¶
You’ll first meet Fia at the Roundtable Hold, and when you speak with her she’ll ask if she can embrace you. Accepting the offer will reward you with a Baldachin’s Blessing which, when used, will temporarily increase your Poise at the cost of FP. You can only hold one of these at a time, but you can return to her for another helping whenever you use your current one. You’ll need to reach Altus Plateau before the questline with Fia advances any further.
Brother Corhyn¶
As with Diallos and Fia, you’ll first meet Brother Corhyn at Roundtable Hold. He’ll tell you a little about himself and inform you that he wishes to serve a Tarnished that may one day become an Elden Lord. He doesn’t do much else for now, other than offer a few Incantations for you to purchase, but you’ll next meet him at Altus Highway Junction later in the game.
Roderika¶
When Roderika arrives at Roundtable Hold, you can speak with her and then with Smithing Master Hewg a few times to progress her quest. Hewg will mention that Roderika has a gift for Spirit Tuning, a process which allows Roderika to improve the effectiveness of your Spirit Ashes. You’ll need different types of Glovewort to do this. After exhausting the dialogue between Hewg and Roderika, rest at a Site of Grace and then return to Roundtable Hold to find her now sitting opposite Hewg.
Enia, the Finger Reader¶
You’ll meet Enia, the Finger Reader for the first time at Roundtable Hold, but only after you’ve defeated Godrick the Grafted. Enia is an important NPC who provides insights related to Elden Ring lore, but she can also help you make use of Remembrance items after defeating Elden Lord bosses. In addition, she’ll offer the Talisman Pouch after defeating your second Elden Lord, alongside other items. In short: you’ll want to return to Enia whenever you do something significant in the game, as she’ll probably have something to say about it.
Gideon Ofnir¶
You can meet Gideon Ofnir at Roundtable Hold when you first arrive. He’ll be standing by the hearth initially, but he won’t have much to say at this stage. However, when you next return to the hold you’ll find that Gideon has moved to the room through the passage north from the roundtable. Head inside and he’ll agree to give you more information, accepting you as a Knight of the Hold if you can track down and kill one of the Elden Lords, such as Godrick the Grafted. Gideon will remain at the Roundtable Hold for most of your encounters, aside from the last one. Be sure to check his questline page for more information.
Nepheli Loux¶
After your first meeting with Nepheli Loux at Stormveil Castle, you’ll find her at the Roundtable Hold once you’ve defeated Godrick the Grafted. She’ll tell you that she’s actually Gideon Ofnir’s daughter, and you can exhaust the dialogue options here to prompt her to move to another location, detailed in her questline page.
Ensha¶
You’ll see Ensha for the first time at the Roundtable Hold, but they won’t have much to say. You’ll need to explore Liurnia of the Lakes and encounter Albus the Albinauric before you can advance the quest for Ensha. See their questline page for more details.
Sorcerer Rogier¶
Once you’ve defeated Godrick the Grafted at Stormveil Castle, Sorcerer Rogier will move to the balcony at Roundtable Hold. You can speak with him here to advance his quest. He’ll give you Rogier’s Rapier. You’ll need to defeat the Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Stormveil Castle) before you can advance the quest with Rogier.
Dung Eater¶
The Dung Eater can be found at Roundtable Hold once you reach Altus Plateau. You’ll find him in the room next to the Twin Maiden Husks, which is now open to you. He won’t be very friendly, and the only way you can progress his quest is by finding some Seedbed Curse. in Altus Plateau. Be sure to check Dung Eater’s questline for more details on where to find these.
All NPC Locations and Quests in Weeping Peninsula¶
NPC | Location | Questline Guide Link |
---|---|---|
Irina | Just southeast of the Bridge of Sacrifice Site of Grace, in the northeast of Weeping Peninsula, as you enter it from Limgrave | Irina Questline |
Edgar | On top of the ramparts at the northeastern side of Castle Morne, located at the southern tip of Weeping Peninsula | Edgar Questline |
Irina¶
There are only two NPCs with quests in the Weeping Peninsula. You’ll meet the first, Irina, as you enter the region from the Bridge of Sacrifice. You’ll find her along the road just southeast of the bridge, and when you speak with her she’ll ask you to deliver a letter to her father, Edgar, who remains in Castle Morne.
Edgar¶
Once you’re inside Castle Morne and up the lift to the courtyard, head past the Pumpkin Head and around the corner to the right to find a ladder leading up. Dispatch the enemies up ahead and then climb down the ladder to your left to find another set of enemies. At the end of this pathway are some wooden stairs leading up, where you’ll find Edgar.
After speaking with Edgar here and handing him the letter from Irina, you should kill the Leonine Misbegotten at Morne Castle (on a sandy island to the south of it) and then speak with Edgar again. You’ll next find him where you first met Irina near the Bridge of Sacrifice (after resting at a Site of Grace). You can speak with him again here, but this will be the last interaction with him in the Weeping Peninsula.
All NPC Locations and Quests in Caelid and Dragonbarrow¶
NPC | Location | Questline Guide Link |
---|---|---|
Gowry | At Gowry’s Shack, located on the eastern side of the road which runs east of the Swamp of Aeonia, in eastern Caelid | Gowry Questline |
Millicent | At the Church of Plague, located just northeast from Gowry’s Shack | Millicent Questline |
Great Jar | At the colosseum on the peninsula in northwest Caelid (Dragonbarrow), accessed via the Siofra River Well | N/A |
Jerren | At Redmane Castle, located on the island in the southeast of Caelid | Jerren Questline |
Alexander the Iron Fist | At Redmane Castle, located on the island in the southeast of Caelid | Alexander the Iron Fist Questline |
Blaidd | At Redmane Castle, located on the island in the southeast of Caelid | Blaidd Questline |
Gowry¶
You’ll meet Gowry at Gowry’s Shack, located on the eastern side of the road which runs east of the Swamp of Aeonia, in eastern Caelid. Gowry’s questline is connected to Millicent, and you’ll need to meet him first for them to make sense. Gowry offers some secret information about Sellia, Town of Sorcery, but only if you help Millicent first. This involves defeating Commander O’Neil, who can be found in the Swamp of Aeonia nearby, to obtain the Unalloyed Gold Needle. Once you bring it back to him, rest at a Site of Grace and then speak with him again to take it back, before moving on to Millicent.
Millicent¶
Now that you’re done with Gowry (for now) and you’ve taken the Unalloyed Gold Needle, travel a short ways northeast to the Church of Plague. Here you’ll meet Millicent, and you can give her the needle immediately. Once you’ve exhausted the dialogue options, rest at the Site of Grace before speaking with her again. You can then return to Gowry’s shack to find her there (after resting), then speak with Gowry again to finish up with these two in Caelid for now.
Great Jar¶
To reach the Great Jar located outside the colosseum on the peninsula in northwest Caelid (Dragonbarrow region), you’ll need to use the Siofra River Well, which is located near the Minor Erdtree in eastern Limgrave. After using the Stonesword Key on the Imp Statue to activate the elevator into Caelid, follow the canyon northwest to find a Golem Archer guarding the path to the colosseum. You can defeat the archer and then make your way up the path to the Great Jar.
The Great Jar doesn’t technically have a questline to offer. It doesn’t say much of anything, but the key to completing this encounter lies nearby on the ground, where you’ll find some red summon signs to fight three Knights of the Great Jar. You’ll need to defeat all three without resting or dying, which can be fairly challenging. As such, you might want to return to this encounter when you’re more powerful if you experience any difficulty. Once you’ve defeated all three, interact with the Great Jar again to receive the Great-Jar’s Arsenal.
Jerren¶
You’ll encounter Jerren for the first time at Redmane Castle, located on the island in the southeast of Caelid, where he acts as the herald for the festival of war. There’s not much you can do with him here, but you’ll have to interact with him to gain access to the Starscourge Radahn battle. After the battle is over, refresh the area and head north of the Redmane Castle Plaza Site of Grace to find Jerren sitting on a chair. Speak with him to learn that now the war festival is over, he’ll be moving on soon.
Alexander the Iron Fist¶
You’ll encounter Alexander the Iron Fist for the second or third time (the second is the optional meeting in Gael Tunnel) at Redmane Castle, in the same area as Jerren. Speak with him to learn that he’s here to attend the festival. He’ll wish you luck for the battle ahead, and you can summon him during the fight against Starscourge Radahn. Even if Alexander is defeated during the battle, you’ll find him back at Redmane Castle afterwards, where he laments his weakness and vows to get stronger.
Blaidd¶
You’ll encounter Blaidd in the same area as Alexander the Iron Fist at Redmane Castle. As with Alexander, once you head into the battle with Starscourge Radahn, Blaidd will be one of the many NPCs you can summon to help against him. When Radahn finally falls, a cutscene shows the way to Nokron is now open. Head over to Radahn’s Site of Grace and speak with Blaidd, who informs you that the way to Nokron is finally open.
All NPC Locations and Quests in Liurnia of the Lakes¶
Boc the Seamster¶
You’ll encounter Boc the Seamster in Liurnia of the Lakes at the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace, the first one you encounter in the region, just northwest of Stormveil Castle. You’ll need to rest at least one at the site before Boc will appear. He’ll offer his services in altering your garments. As you progress further into the region, you’ll also find Boc at the East Raya Lucaria Gate Site of Grace.
Hyetta¶
Hyetta is likely to be the first NPC that you encounter in Liurnia of the Lakes, given that her initial location is at the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace, where you also see Boc after resting. She’ll ask you for a Shabriri Grape (and later other items), and each time you give her one she’ll move on to another location (after you’ve rested). Aside from the Lake-Facing Cliffs, you’ll find Hyetta in three other locations throughout Liurnia of the Lakes: the Purified Ruins, Gate Town Bridge, and Bellum Church. Be sure to check her questline guide page for a walkthrough of where to find the items she requests.
Sorcerer Thops¶
Sorcerer Thops can be found at the Church of Irith, which is located just to the southwest of the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace. He’ll ask for a donation of 10 Runes in exchange to teach you some basic Sorcery spells, and he’ll inform you about the requirements to enter Raya Lucaria Academy, mentioning that you’ll need an Academy Glintstone Key. He will also ask that you give one to him, and once you do you’ll find him in Raya Lucaria Academy, near the Schoolhouse Classroom Site of Grace. You can see his questline guide page for how and where to find the second key.
Jar-Bairn¶
Jar-Bairn is a minor NPC who you’ll encounter primarily during the Diallos questline. You’ll find him at Jarburg, within eastern Liurnia of the Lakes, southwest of the Divine Tower of Liurnia. To reach Jarburg, start from the Artist’s Shack Site of Grace and head south along the cliff’s edge to your left (when heading south). If you look carefully, you’ll see tombstones you can use to drop down to below, leading to Jarburg and its Site of Grace.
Patches¶
You’ll find Patches (NPC) at the Scenic Isle Site of Grace, northwest of the Laskyar Ruins Site of Grace in southeastern Liurnia of the Lakes. You can use his shop here, but he’ll also tell you about a secret waiting to be found in the Raya Lucaria Academy, so it’s well worth the visit.
Rya¶
Rya can be found standing on a pavilion located east of the Scenic Isle Site of Grace, where you just saw Patches. This is the first time you meet Rya, and she’ll tell you that her necklace has been stolen by Blackguard Big Boggart. Once you bring the necklace back to her, she’ll invite you to the Volcano Manor and provide a way inside. Be sure to check her questline guide page for more details on this.
Blackguard Big Boggart¶
You’ll find Blackguard Big Boggart at the Boilprawn Shack, just north of the Scenic Isle Site of Grace, northwest from where you just met Rya. You can give Blackguard 1000 Runes in exchange for the necklace, then return to Rya with it. You also have the option to kill Blackguard, but we’d strongly discourage this as it will lock you out of his own questline, which is linked to that of Dung Eater.
White-Faced Varré¶
This will be your second encounter with White-Faced Varré. You’ll find him at the Rose Church directly south of Raya Lucaria Academy. More specifically, Varré is standing outside the northeastern side of the church, since there’s an enemy inside the ruins. After exhausting all of his dialogue, he’ll give you the Festering Bloody Finger and ask you to invade three players. You can do this right here by interacting with the Festering Bloody Finger, which will put you in the world of another online player. Your goal is to defeat them, but it doesn’t matter if you lose. Just make sure you invade at least three players to progress the quest. There’s much more to the Varré arc in this region, so be sure to check his questline guide page for the full details.
Edgar¶
This should be your third or fourth encounter with Edgar, since you first met him in the Weeping Peninsula. If you met him at Morne Castle but not by his daughter’s body, he will still be at Revenger’s Shack, located just north of the Minor Erdtree in western Liurnia of the Lakes. Even if you somehow missed Edgar at Morne Castle, he will still invade you as soon as you touch the Site of Grace at Revenger’s Shack. This outcome is unavoidable even if you did everything right with him at the Weeping Peninsula.
Nepheli Loux¶
You’ll find Nepheli Loux under a bridge just outside the Village of the Albinaurics, in southwest Liurnia of the Lakes. After exhausting all of her dialogue options, you can summon her to help defeat the nearby Omenkiller boss. If you’re struggling to find the Village of the Albinaurics, see How to Get to Village of the Albinaurics.
Albus the Albinauric¶
Albus the Albinauric is located in the same area as Nepheli Loux, just outside the Village of the Albinaurics. His quest isn’t particularly long, but it’s an important one and it will lead you to Latenna, noted below. See the questline guide page for Albus to learn all you need to know about him here.
Latenna¶
Albus the Albinauric will ask you to seek out Latenna, who can be found at the Slumbering Wolf’s Shack. This area can only be accessed by completing Lakeside Crystal Cave, which is located south of the Scenic Isle in southern Liurnia of the Lakes. Once you’ve cleared the cave and defeated the Bloodhound Knight there, you can exit from this side to find Latenna. This is another important meeting, so be sure to see her questline guide page for a walkthrough of what to do.
Diallos¶
You’ll meet Diallos a second time (after first speaking with him at the Roundtable Hold) north of the Academy Gate Town Site of Grace, just southeast from Raya Lucaria Academy. You’ll learn that Diallos went out in search of Lanya himself, but this adventure turned out to be her last. There isn’t much else you can do for Diallos here, until you meet him at Volcano Manor later in the game.
Miriel, Pastor of Vows¶
Miriel, Pastor of Vows can be found at the Church of Vows, located northeast from the Raya Lucaria Academy. This NPC provides some important lore about Liurnia of the Lakes, and also serves as a shop for some Sorcery and Incantation spells. To find the Church of Vows, head to Liurnia and follow the eastern road down Liurnia Highway. Following this road, you’ll come across Artist’s Shack and can continue north by leaping across some rocks. From here, it’s just a short journey up the hill to the northwest where you’ll find the Church of Vows Site of Grace.
It’s important to note that if any NPC becomes hostile towards you (after hitting them accidentally, for example), you can come to the Church of Vows to seek absolution by using the Celestial Dew, making the NPC friendly again. While you’re here you should also loot the Gold Sewing Needle, which will be useful for Boc’s questline later on.
Bloody Finger Hunter Yura¶
You’ll meet Bloody Finger Hunter Yura a fourth time at the Main Academy Gate Site of Grace, northwestern Raya Lucaria Academy. Here you’ll find a red summon sign on the ground. Activate this to come to the aid of Yura and help him defeat Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin. Once the battle is done, look to the side near where the summon sign was and you’ll find Yura waiting. Speak with him to obtain a Smithing Stone [5] and exhaust his dialogue to learn that he is hunting someone by the name of Eleonara.
War Counselor Iji¶
As you move northwest from the Raya Lucaria Academy, you’ll encounter War Counselor Iji on the road towards Caria Manor. Speak with him to exhaust his dialogue options, and be sure to check his shop. Iji’s quest is intricately tied to those of Ranni the Witch and Blaidd, so be sure to check their respective questline guide pages for more information on what you can do for him.
Ranni the Witch¶
After you’ve defeated Royal Knight Loretta at Caria Manor, you’ll gain access to Ranni’s Rise, where Ranni the Witch (aka Renna) can be found. This is one of the most important NPCs in the game, since Ranni is connected to a number of other NPC questlines including Sorceress Sellen, Sorcerer Rogier, Blaidd, Preceptor Seluvis and others. She is also connected to one of the secret endings, so be sure to check her questline guide page for the full details.
Preceptor Seluvis¶
You’ll find Preceptor Seluvis in the same area as Ranni the Witch, but in his own tower of Seluvis’s Rise, southeast of Ranni’s Rise. As with Ranni, Seluvis is an important NPC connected to many different NPC questlines. There will be a back and forth dialogue between many of these, some of which is connected to important decisions that you’ll need to make, so be sure to check Seluvis’s questline guide page for a detailed walkthrough.
Blaidd¶
You’ll meet a spirit projection of Blaidd at Ranni’s Rise. This will lead you on to further develop his own quest, and that of others NPCs. You’ll want to check his questline guide page for the full details before you proceed.
Alexander the Iron Fist¶
Following your encounter at Redmane Castle, Alexander will have begun his journey north. You’ll next find him directly south of the Carian Study Hall Site of Grace in eastern Liurnia of the Lakes, on the higher ground. To reach this, you will need to find the Artist’s Shack Site of Grace and head southeast, you should hear Alexander calling out to you. Alexander has got himself stuck again, and you’ll need to help free him. A more detailed guide to this can be found on his questline guide page.
All NPC Locations and Quests in Altus Plateau and Mt Gelmir¶
Millicent¶
After first meeting Millicent in Caelid alongside Gowry, you’ll find her at the Erdtree-Gazing Hill, north of the Grand Lift of Dectus in southern Altus Plateau. There’s a fair bit you can do here to advance her questline, and see the conclusion of Gowry’s questline, so be sure to check their respective guide pages for a full walkthrough. After meeting her at the Erdtree-Gazing Hill, you can find her at Dominula, Windmill Village, in northern Altus Plateau.
Alexander the Iron Fist¶
After helping Alexander the Iron Fist in Liurnia of the Lakes, you’ll find him at the Seethewater Terminus Site of Grace, located on Mt. Gelmir, to the northwest of central Altus Plateau. You’ll need to defeat the Magma Wyrm here to advance Alexander’s questline.
Primeval Sorcerer Azur¶
While you’re in Mt. Gelmir, you should find and interact with Primeval Sorcerer Azur, especially if you can make use of Sorceries. You’ll find him at the edge of a cliff north of the Hermit Village on Mt. Gelmir. Although technically part of Sorceress Sellen’s questline, it’s worth interacting with him regardless for the Comet Azur sorcery.
Patches¶
As you wander the area, you’ll be able to find Patches (NPC) hiding in the cliffs north of Gelmir Hero’s Grave on Mt. Gelmir. Speak with him to investigate the Rainbow Stones, then speak to him again after a cutscene.
Brother Corhyn¶
As mentioned in the note above, so long as you’ve spoken to Brother Corhyn at Roundtable Hold upon reaching Altus Plateau, you’ll be able to find him north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace, in central Altus Plateau. This advances his quest and leads to interactions with a minor NPC named Goldmask. Be sure to check Brother Corhyn’s questline guide page for a full walkthrough.
Bloody Finger Hunter Yura¶
Your final meeting with Bloody Finger Hunter Yura takes place at the Second Church of Marika, northwest of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace. If you’re struggling to find him or want to know what happens here, see his questline guide page.
Blackguard Big Boggart¶
This encounter with Blackguard Big Boggart takes place northwest of the Capital Rampart Site of Grace, in the Leyndell Capital Outskirts. The rest of this questline is tied to that of Dung Eater, so be sure to check Blackguard’s questline guide page for the full details.
Rya¶
If you met Rya in Liurnia of the Lakes, you should next see her at the Grand Lift of Dectus, which takes you to Altus Plateau. However, if she’s not here you should find her at the Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Grace, near Lux Ruins, in southwest Altus Plateau. Speak with her for an invitation to Volcano Manor. If you don’t see her at any of these sites, you’ll find her at Volcano Manor later.

Tanith will ask you to join the Recusants, which doesn’t actually have any negative consequences. The questline will mostly involve a series of assassination contracts, a detailed walkthrough of which you can find on her questline guide page. You need to join the Recusants to acquire the Drawing-Room Key, which provides access to the NPCs below and their associated tasks at Volcano Manor.
Rya¶
Rya will be pleased to see you at Volcano Manor, especially if you met her for the previous encounters in Liurnia of the Lakes and Altus Plateau. There’s a lot more to do with her questline here, so be sure to check her questline guide page for a full walkthrough.
Patches¶
You can find Patches (NPC) at Volcano Manor after speaking with Lady Tanith and agreeing to join the Recusants. He’ll offer you a special assassination contract to defeat Great Horned Tragoth, which comes with a nice reward in the form of the Bull-Goat Set for heavy armor users.
Diallos¶
After finding Diallos in Liurnia of the Lakes, you can find and speak to him at Volcano Manor once you’ve spoken with Lady Tanith and joined the Recusants. He has quite a lot to say, and his questline is far from over yet, despite his tone. Be sure to check his questline guide page for a full walkthrough from here.
Knight Bernahl¶
You’ll encounter Knight Bernahl at Volcano Manor in the form of Recusant Bernahl, after speaking with Lady Tanith and gaining access to the Drawing-Rooms. There isn’t too much left to his questline here, but be sure to speak with him after each assassination contract has been fulfilled to properly complete his questline.

If you don’t have the needle, be sure to go back and get it. There are a few more requirements to advance Boc’s questline from here, so be sure to check his questline guide page for a full walkthrough.
Dung Eater¶
A good chunk of the Dung Eater questline takes place in Leyndell, Royal Capital in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds and Capital Outskirts. Note that full completing of Dung Eater’s questline relates to The Blessing of Despair ending.
Brother Corhyn¶
You’ll find Brother Corhyn and Goldmask south of the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace after defeating Godfrey, First Elden Lord. From here, head out the western door to reach the branches of the tree, head down and drop over to the west where a large building sits atop a winding path. Make your way up there, and to the southeast you’ll find Corhyn and Goldmask. There’s quite a lot to do for Brother Corhyn’s questline in this region, so be sure to check his questline guide page for a full walkthrough.

You may at first mistake him for Bloody Finger Hunter Yura, since he’s wearing Yura’s armor. There are a couple of options for you here, and it’s possible that you will only encounter Yura’s armor (aka Ronin’s Set), with Shabriri being absent, depending on what you’ve done previously. Be sure to check Yura’s questline for more details.
Millicent¶
You’ll encounter Millicent at the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Grace, where she’ll drop a hint about where you can find the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left), the second half needed to reach Miquella’s Haligtree, an optional legacy dungeon, but one which you’ll need to enter to complete Millicent’s questline.
Latenna¶
You’ll encounter Latenna at two different locations in Mountaintops of the Giants and the Consecrated Snowfield. First, she will speak to you on the approach to Castle Sol, where you’ll need to get the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left). Second, you can summon her at the Apostate Derelict, in the northwestern part of Consecrated Snowfield. You’ll notice a giant Albinauric against the wall here. Approach it and you’ll be given the option to summon Latenna. She’ll thank you for honoring your promise and hand over a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone before returning to your side as a Spirit Ash.
Brother Corhyn¶
Brother Corhyn and Goldmask can be found on the bridge south of Stargazer Ruins in eastern Mountaintops of the Giants, southwest of the Minor Erdtree. You’ll need to use a Spiritspring Jump in the ravine to the north to reach this plateau. She will mention that there’s something she must return to Melania. There’s quite a bit more to this last part of Millicent’s questline, and you’ll need to make some important decisions in terms of how you proceed, so be sure to check the questline guide page for a full walkthrough.

You’ll find Knight Bernahl in Crumbling Farum Azula too, above the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace. Walk up to the bridge from here and turn north, continuing until you reach a balcony and some ladders. At the bottom of the ladder you can turn east to find Recusant Bernahl on the platform after defeating the beasts here.
All NPC Locations and Quests in Leyndell, Ashen Capital¶
Brother Corhyn and Goldmask¶
If you want to pursue The Age of Order story ending, you’ll need to progress Brother Corhyn’s questline and look for Goldmask in the ruined city. You’ll find him lying against the wall up a path which can be accessed to the right of the stairs leading to the Erdtree Sanctuary, and you can loot the Mending Rune of Perfect Order from his body. Brother Corhyn can then be found in the sand dunes southwest of the Leyndell Catacombs, beneath the giant spiral spear statue. You can return to where you found Goldmask after resting to find the Goldmask’s Set in his place.
Hi mattiapery95, thanks for the heads-up. We do briefly mention it under the Azur entry in the Altus Plateau that you can advance her Quest now. I have added a bit more there to hopefully make it easier for everyone to understand that you can complete her Questline once you meet Azur (provided you have finished the events in Caelid).
I think you forgot about sellen questline. it is mentioned at the start and when u find azul body but nothing else
