In Elden Ring, you’ll find a wide range of characters that will share their plight with you, most of these will have Quests that span multiple locations. This page will detail where you can find Albus and complete his Questline.
How to Get to Village of the Albinaurics¶
Your first, and only, meeting with Albus is a brief one, but a massively important one. He begins a Questline that will eventually allow you to access and entirely optional secret area far to the north of the Lands Between. To get the ball rolling, you’ll need to locate the Village of the Albinaurics in Liurnia. This can be difficult to discover, since the map struggles when displaying different elevations and you must first access this area via the lake.
The easiest method of locating the village is by heading southwest from Raya Lucaria Academy and you should happen upon the Folly on the Lake Site of Grace. Take a look at the map and you’ll see land to the southwest, head this direction and you’ll eventually reach a slope leading under a bridge, this will lead you to the Village of the Albinaurics where you can find a Site of Grace. From here, you should see a slope leading up where a deadly Depraved Perfumer awaits near the tree. Take the time to defeat this, starting with a Backstab if possible but beware of the Incantations.
Once the area is clear, proceed to the edge of the path here (ignore the bridge) and you’ll come across a coffin and a large pot. Roll into the large pot and you’ll discover it was a ruse for Albus, hiding himself away. Speak with him and he’ll hand over the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) and remarking that a fellow Albinauric, Latenna, knows the location of the other half. This is an important Key Item, joining both halves will allow you to activate a lift later in your journey that allows you to access an entirely optional area in the Mountaintops of the Giants region. After pocketing the item, speak with Albus one more time and he’ll bid his farewell, his time is up now that he’s managed to perform his duty.
