Information and walkthrough for Murkwater Cave location in Elden Ring, including details about how to defeat Bloody Finger Nerijus and Patches, how to obtain Reduvia.
How to Find Murkwater Cave¶
To find Murkwater Cave, follow a river running north from the eastern half of Lake Agheel - be wary of Flying Dragon Agheel as you search for this river. Head north up the river and you’ll eventually find the cave entrance to your left - a brazier marks the entrance. Be wary, however, as you’ll likely have to fight Bloody Finger Nerijus as you head up the river.

How to Complete the Murkwater Cave¶
The first challenge awaits before you even enter the Murkwater Cave in the form of Bloody Finger Nerijus, a faux invader who will spawn and attack. While Nerijus can be a pain at lower levels, you’ll automatically gain aid in the form of Bloody Finger Hunter Yura, who will spawn and assist you - if you can survive long enough for him to arrive, it’ll make the fight much easier.
Defeat the invader and you’ll obtain a Furcalling Finger Remedy and Reduvia, a dagger that inflicts blood loss buildup.
Once you’ve safely made it into the cave you’ll have already defeated this location’s greatest threat and obtained its most valuable treasure.
Enter the cave and make use of the Murkwater Cave Site of Grace, then continue south and west into a relatively well-lit chamber occupied by two Highwaymen. There are some chime alarms hidden in the bushes at the mouth of this cave which you can avoid by jumping over them - if you avoid them, you’ll only have to fight two Highwaymen here, then five more as you explore a side passage to the west. It’s much easier than fighting them all at once, but the Highwaymen are pretty weak enemies, either way. If you explore down the side passage to the west you’ll find a chest with 5x Mushrooms. Not a very epic reward.
Go down another passage to the north, then east, to find a large chamber with a campfire. If you loot a chest you’ll be accosted by a man named Patches, who bears a boss bar but is hardly worthy of the fanfare. Thrash him until his life bar is halfway depleted and he’ll surrender, earning you the Grovel for Mercy gesture. Either forgive him or not and he’ll set up shop here as a merchant. You can find his wares, below:
