In Elden Ring, you’ll eventually reach a hub, where a lot of NPCs will gather, offering their wares and stories. This page will detail where you can find the Roundtable Hold.
Where is the Roundtable Hold Location in Elden Ring?¶
It’s odd that with Roundtable Hold being the hub of Elden Ring, you can play for a long time before ever reaching it. The short story is, the Roundtable Hold doesn’t exist in the Lands Between. It’s a safe haven for the Tarnished, and you must be taken there by Melina the first time, before you can travel there at will as you would a regular Site of Grace.
You cannot miss the Roundtable Hold, if you’re following the game’s critical path then once you take on and defeat Margit, the Fell Omen outside the gates of Stormveil Castle, rest at the nearby Site of Grace and Melina will appear. She’ll inform you that you’ve proven yourself and wishes to take you to a place that may be of use to you.
You can, however, reach the Roundtable Hold before ever facing off against Margit. The conditions for Melina to appear is to simply use a Site of Grace outside of Limgrave, so for those of you wishing to gain access to all of the resources of the hub early on, this is for you. The quickest way to achieve this is by heading to the northeast of East Limgrave and going north from the Third Church of Marika. You’ll find a stream here and if you head amongst the trees, you’ll find a portal (D’s Quest will lead you here too) that will whisk you off to Dragonbarrow, Caelid. Inside the temple here you’ll find a Site of Grace that will take you to the Roundtable Hold.
Alternatively, if you’re feeling confident, simply head to the far northeast of East Limgrave and you’ll find the Smoldering Church on the border with Caelid. You’ll be invaded by Anastasia Tarnished Eater but once she’s defeated, head into the church and use the Site of Grace to gain entry to the Hold.
What is the Roundtable Hold¶
As mentioned above, the Roundtable Hold is a safe haven for the Tarnished, and as such, you will meet an assortment of characters here. Many have Quests attached to them, while visitors from the Lands Between will take refuge and continue their own Quests here. Additionally, you’ll find many merchants here like a dedicated Blacksmith that can take your weapons beyond +3 along with Incantation and Sorcery merchants.
Much of the Hold will be off-limits on your first visit, the defeat of the first Elden Lord being the first opportunity for more exploration. You’ll also find a powerful Invader by jumping down to the ground below, while Imp statues conceal useful Treasures in exchange for Stonesword Keys.
