All Boss Locations in Liurnia of the Lakes, Elden Ring¶
Adan, Thief of Fire - Malefactor’s Evergaol¶
Found by using the portal in the far south of Liurnia of the Lakes, Adan lives up to his namesake; namely that most of his attacks are based around using the Incantation Flame of the Fell God and other fire spells. Despite his stature, he is fairly agile and will use a flail to also attack but he is vulnerable to backstabs and parries while using melee attacks. Fire protection is obviously incredibly useful here and because he is human, he can heal himself so be prepared! After you finish him off, you will receive the Flame of the Fell God Incantation.
Alabaster Lord - Royal Grave Evergaol¶
To reach the Royal Grave Evergaol, you will need to pass through Carian Manor and defeat Royal Knight Loretta. Use the rear exit to reach the road that leads to the Evergaol and then pass through the portal to find the Alabaster Lord. You may have already seen a similar enemy in Limgrave to get the Gravitas skill but this version can use the Meteorite sorcery as well swipes with its giant sword. Stay close to it if you can as it will mostly do physical attacks which can be parried or dodged fairly easily. It will still use the odd sorcery skill in melee range so magic protection is helpful. If you move out of range, the Alabaster Lord will plant its sword in the ground and summon meteorites. You will receive the Meteorite Sorcery for defeating it.
Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader - Ringerleader’s Evergaol¶
To reach the Ringleader’s Evergaol, you will need to travel northwest from the Moonlight Altar Site of Grace, likely found during Ranni’s questline. Alecto is by far one of the most challenging bosses in Liurnia of the Lakes, and arguably in Elden Ring. Incredibly agile with an ability to do a potential one-shot kill backstab, you will need powerful protection items to stand a chance. He will dash and dodge in and out, taking powerful jabs with his dagger. At a distance, Alecto can throw a red projectile that is very fast moving and leap forwards with Blood Slash. The best opening to attack is after he jumps so try to get a few quick shots in then. Alecto drops the Black Knife Tiche Ashes in defeat.
Bell Bearing Hunter - Church of Vows¶
Another Bell Bearing Hunter will spawn in as you approach the center of the Church of Vows (located northeast of Raya Lucaria Academy) at night when the tortoise isn’t there. Rest at the Site of Grace if you need to so the tortoise disappears. Similar to the one in Limgrave, it is a large, powerful, sword-wielding enemy that can use its sword either as a normal weapon or as a magical conjured sword from a distance. The ranged sword has a long reach and at melee range, he can charge his sword by spinning the blade and unleashing a powerful thrust. He can be parried but to gain a riposte, you must parry him twice. Defeat him to obtain the Meat Peddler’s Bell Bearing.
Black Knife Assassin - Black Knife Catacombs¶
This is a secret boss found in the Black Knife Catacombs in the far northeast corner of Liurnia of the Lakes. To find the boss, ride the blades up to the top path and the corridor with Erdtree Burial Watchdog statues. Hit the wall to the west to reveal the fog gate beyond. Unlike the first one you fought in Limgrave, this Black Knife Assassin is much faster and more aggressive. It will use several combos and can dodge with ease so your only opening is really when it leaps in the air and stabs the ground. You can then run around and backstab it while it’s vulnerable. You will receive the Black Knifeprint, and the Assassin’s Cerulean Dagger for killing it.
Bols, Carian Knight - Cuckoo’s Evergaol¶
The Cuckoo’s Evergaol is found on the path to the north of the Minor Erdtree in the west of Liurnia of the Lakes. Simply run over there and interact with the portal to gain access. Bols is a knight version of a Stonedigger Troll but complete with the Carian Knight Armor set and a giant sword. He will do similar melee attacks, chief among them a massive two-handed sword slam into the ground but he can also use the Greatblade Phalanx sorcery as well. Mostly just stay under his feet and treat him like any other Stonedigger Troll. Bols will drop the Greatblade Phalanx sorcery he used as your reward.
Cemetery Shade (Liurnia of the Lakes) - Black Knife Catacombs¶
One of the easier bosses here, Cemetery Shade is found in the Black Knife Catacombs in the northeast of Liurnia of the Lakes. Like the one in Weeping Peninsula, it uses twin daggers in quick combinations and can teleport around the room. This version is also incredibly vulnerable to magic like the other one but does have a few skeleton minions with it so watch out for those. Your reward for killing it is the Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes.
Cleanrot Knight - Stillwater Cave¶
Found in the far south of Liurnia of the Lakes inside Stillwater Cave, the first thing to note is the large pool of poisoned water in the room. There is a patch of dry land which you can lure it to before you begin. Cleanrot Knight wields both a sword and a pike spear and uses some Sacred Skills, notably one where it scrapes the ground and several golden spears erupt out of the ground. It attacks quite relentlessly but it can be backstabbed. It will drop the Winged Sword Insignia upon death.
Crystalian (Spear) & Crystalian (Staff) - Academy Crystal Cave¶
The Crystalian duo are found as the final bosses of the Academy Crystal Cave just to the west of Raya Lucaria Academy. Alone they aren’t terribly difficult but together they pose a difficult challenge. One thing to note is that they both have a powerful guard which you will need to break either with a heavy weapon like a hammer or the Rock Sling sorcery for magic users. The Staff Crystalian will shoot Glintstone Shards at you but you can use the stone pillars to dodge and the Spear Crystalian typically does several leaping spear thrusts in a row with one twisting spin to finish. Kill Spear first and then Staff. For defeating the pair you will receive the Crystal Release sorcery.
Crystalian (Ringblade) - Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel¶
Another Crystalian can be found in the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel northeast of Raya Lucaria Academy itself. Like most crystal enemies, the Ringblade Crystalian is very vulnerable to any hammer-type weapons or if a magic user, the Rock Sling sorcery and a Gravitas staff. She will twirl her blade around when in melee range and has a little chakram she will throw at range. Her attacks don’t hurt very much so simply break her guard and defeat her. Your reward will be the very useful Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing (1).
Deathbird - Lake Liurnia¶
Deathbird returns once again, and this one can be found at night near the Scene Isle Site of Grace in Lake Liurnia in the southeast. This one is pretty much identical to the ones you likely fought in previous regions with the same pecking attacks and leaping sword slashes. The hardest thing is the enemies around the lake that can make the fight more difficult so take care to remove any before you begin. You will obtain the Red Feathered Branch Sword for killing it.
Edgar The Revenger (Invader) - Revenger’s Shack¶
Directly north of the Minor Erdtree in the southwest of Liurnia is the Revenger’s Shack where Edgar the Revenger will invade as part of Irina’s questline. Edgar wields a halberd and can cast the Sacred Ring of Light skill. He will also enchant himself to do extra damage and is quite adept at dodging. Try and keep your distance if he glows gold at any time and time your dodges of his halberd strikes well. For successfully killing him, you will obtain a Furlcalling Finger Remedy, a Shabriri Grape, a Banished Knight’s Halberd (+8), and Raw Meat Dumpling x5.
Erdtree Avatar - Liurnia Northeast¶
Liurnia of the Lakes has two Minor Erdtrees and both are protected by an Erdtree Avatar. This one can be found at the northeast Minor Erdtree. There are a lot of enemies around the Avatar but you can ride around to the back of the Erdtree and fight it alone there. It will do the usual melee attacks - giant swings from his hammer, pounding feet etc but it will also cast two Sacred abilities: a golden leaping slam attack which you can roll through and an AoE attack which starts with a small AoE circular blast and transforms into a series of shooting lights. Wait for the blast and then keep running either left or right until all the light has gone. This one drops Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Lightning-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear.
Erdtree Avatar - Liurnia Southwest¶
This Erdtree Avatar is found guarding the Minor Erdtree in the southwest and functions the exact same as the one in the northeast. You can use Torrent if you wish but an on-foot approach is generally easier. This one drops the Cerulean Crystal Tear, and Ruptured Crystal Tear.
Erdtree Burial Watchdog - Cliffbottom Catacombs¶
Another Erdtree Burial Watchdog is found in Liurnia of the Lakes, this time in the Cliffbottom Catacombs in the southeast of the region. This one comes with three heads and a staff and can also cast Glintstone sorceries. It will use a stronger, faster flame breath attack and the same leaping attack as before with the caveat that it deals magic damage. Its physical attacks are rather swift and powerful but can be blocked if necessary. Your reward for defeating it will be the Kaiden Sellsword Ashes.
Festering Fingerprint Vyke - Church of Inhibition¶
Festering Fingerprint Vyke will invade at the Church of Inhibition in the northeast of Liurnia of the Lakes after progressing Hyetta’s questline where she requests a Fingerprint Grape. He wields his famed war spear and all his attacks build up the madness gauge and once it’s filled, you will be completely stunned, leaving you vulnerable to damage. He will also heal himself but he can be backstabbed after his spear thrust attack. Be patient and chip away and you will be rewarded with a Furlcalling Finger Remedy, a Fingerprint Grape, and his spear Vyke’s War Spear.
Glintstone Dragon Adula - Cathedral of Manus Celes¶
There is a lot of questing needed to summon Glintstone Dragon Adula to the Cathedral of Manus Celes near the Moonlight Altar. If you fought it in the Three Sisters area past Caria Manor, it will reappear here after you have defeated Aztel, Natural Born of the Void in Nokrom. Torrent is essential for this fight. Its frost breath attack will one-shot you but you can use the solid rocks nearby to block the ability. Her other main attack is a conjured sword attack that will deal massive damage and inflict frostbite. If you defeat her, she will drop Adula’s Moonblade, and 3x Dragon Heart!
Glintstone Dragon Smarag - Central Island near Raya Lucaria Academy¶
Glintstone Dragon Smarag can be found on one of the large islands around Raya Lucaria Academy, west of the South Raya Lucaria Gate Site of Grace. The fight functions similar to Flying Dragon Agheel though this time the breath attack deals frost damage instead. The melee attacks work the same and its head is very much a weak point. A new attack however, is a shooting Glintstone spear signified by a glowing blue light inside Smarag’s mouth. After the cast is finished the Glintstone will arc towards your position. It will drop a Dragon Heart when dead.
Godskin Noble - Divine Tower of Liurnia Bridge¶
This Godskin Noble can only be fought once you’ve almost completed the Divine Tower of Liurnia quest chain and used the Inverted Study Carian Statue to reach the Bridge area. It is technically a miniboss but functions the same as the other version in Volcano Manor. It uses fencing attacks which deal piercing damage but they can be blocked and it will still use occasional magical attacks. For defeating it, you will gain the Godskin Noble Set of armor!
Magma Wyrm Makar - Ruin-Strewn Precipice¶
Magma Wyrm Makar guards the elevator that leads to Altus Plateau and is found in the Ruin-Strewn Precipice area in the north of Liurnia of the Lakes. With a name like Magma Wyrm, it is safe to assume that it has a ton of fire attacks so fire protection will be very helpful here as it leaves constant trails of fire as it stomps around the room. Its belly is its weak spot but do beware of a spinning attack from his tail and his sword when in melee range. For killing it you will receive its Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword, and a Dragon Heart.
Night’s Cavalry - Gatetown Bridge¶
Can only be found at night wandering around the Gatetown Bridge area of Liurnia of the Lakes in the east of the region. This member of the Night’s Cavalry uses the Nightrider Glaive to deal massive damage. In general, its attacks are very similar to other variants and its horse can still be killed, leaving it very vulnerable to damage when it’s on the floor. This one will drop Ash of War: Ice Spear.
Night’s Cavalry - East Raya Lucaria Gate¶
Found patrolling the road from East Raya Lucaria Gate and the Bellum Church at night, this Night’s Cavalry member is identical to the other one found in Liurnia. He wields the glaive and has the same moveset. For killing him, you will receive the Ash of War: Giant Hunt, and his Nightrider Glaive.
Omenkiller - Village of the Albinaurics¶
Omenkiller is found in the Village of Albinaurics in the south of Liurnia of the lakes and it is a field boss. There are numerous dogs around it so try and clear out as many as you can before challenging Omenkiller. It wields two giant cleavers that cause bleed and he has a very strong flame breath attack so added fire protection will help. He is quite fast and powerful and doesn’t leave many openings but he does have a triple slam attack after which you can backstab him. Your reward will be the Crucible Knot Talisman.
Royal Knight Loretta - Caria Manor¶
In the northwest of Liurnia of the Lakes is the large Caria Manor dungeon, the final boss of which is Royal Knight Loretta, a spectral knight astride a large horse. Her spear acts as both a wand and a spear in that she can cast Carian sorceries and actually use it to attack as well. The spells come from the handle so you can watch which way she points the spear to determine what type of attack she will use. Unfairly, you cannot summon Torrent for this fight so you’ll just have to make do on foot. At 50% HP she will summon a shield and gain access to stronger versions of her magic as well as the Loretta’s Greatbow sorcery attack. She will drop her sorcery Loretta’s Greatbow, and Ash of War: Loretta’s Slash.
Royal Revenant - Kingsrealm Ruins¶
In the cellar beneath the Kingsrealm Ruins in the west of Liurnia of the Lakes, the Royal Revenant is a multi-armed, multi-legged abomination. It often attacks before you’ve even entered the very small boss room and can teleport out of your reach regularly. Its attacks are swift and numerous with some incredibly damaging, unrelenting combos thrown in. Dodging towards the boss is better than side to side. It will also quickly tunnel into the ground, spring up and then immediately spit a poison cloud. It has another poison spit attack and a hand flail spam attack. You can actually mount Torrent for this fight which may help. One interesting point to note: it is actually vulnerable to the Heal Incantation or any other Faith-based AoE abilities. If you manage to defeat it though, you will be rewarded with access to the [Frozen Needle](Frozen Needle “Frozen Needle”) in a chest behind the boss room.
Spirit-Caller Snail - Road’s End Catacombs¶
The Road’s End Catacombs are found in the southwest area of Liurnia of the Lakes and the boss there is the Spirit-Caller Snail, a little invisible spectral snail who summons Crucible Knights to do its bidding. Killing the knights will do no damage to the snail so you must find the pesky snail who’s position you can determine by looking for the bright white mist cloud. Hit the cloud to do damage and the Snail will teleport to a new position. After killing it, it will drop the Glintstone Sorcerer Ashes.
Tibia Mariner - Lake near Carian Study Hall¶
Near identical to the one in Summonwater Village, this Tibia Mariner is found in east of Liurnia of the Lakes, near the Carian Study Hall tower. It will summon its usual skeleton army and use its boat to attack you when you get too close. After killing it, you will receive another Deathroot, and the Skeletal Bandit Ashes.
