How to Get the Ore for Nidavellir’s Finest Armor Set¶

“Traditional Dwarven armor. Built with Nidavellir Ore acquired from the mining rigs in Svartalfheim’s Bay of Bounty. The craftsmanship is unparalleled, and increases the wearer’s Vitality.”

As the description suggests, the only way to acquire this armor is by first completing the In Service of Asgard favor in the Bay of Bounty in Svartalfheim. At the end of this favor you will have a total of 6 Nidavellir ore, which is enough to craft the entire set with 2 ore per piece. You obtain this ore by looting the contents that each mining rig spits out, so be sure to collect these. If you think you’ve missed anything, you can loot the blue chest next to Brok or Sindri’s shop, where the ore will be stored as something you’ve missed, so long as you’ve shut down all the mines. Once you have all the ore, you can visit Brok or Sindri’s shop to craft the armor.

Nidavellir - Best Early Game Armor Set in God of War Ragnarok?¶

The Nidavellir’s Finest Armor Set is a good contender as being one of the best to use in the early game for God of War Ragnarok. It’s crafted at level 2 by default, and it can be upgraded to acquire some useful perks, shown in the table below.

Nidavellir’s Armor Perk Effects¶

The Plackart perk is particularly useful since it provides you with a persistent extra heal so long as you can consistently stun lock enemies. To increase your chances of doing this, combine arrow shots from Atreus with quick melee strikes from Kratos. You can also use your bare hands for fighting which inflict more stun damage than your Leviathan Axe or Blades of Chaos on some enemies. The health burst will give you an initial burst of health, but it will also heal you over time for about 8 seconds.

The perk for the Arm Guards and Waist Guard complements the perk for the Plackart, since it provides you with more time to press to execute a stun grab and heal yourself. The perk basically means that the stun bar will remain filled for a slightly longer period of time, so you don’t have to worry as much about not being fast enough to reach the enemy to execute the stun grab and heal yourself.
