Svartalfheim is the first realm you will be able to explore in the game, with one of the sub-regions you will visit being The Forge. This page will guide you to obtaining all of the collectibles in The Forge, including the Odin’s Ravens, Artifacts, and much more. A lot of the collectibles won’t be available until you’ve progressed in the story and unlocked more abilities. Note that none of the collectibles in God of War Ragnarok are missable, as you will always be able to come back upon finishing the main story.

Where to Find All Ravens in The Forge¶
Odin’s Raven 1¶
There are two Ravens located here in The Forge, but you will only be able to get one of them on your first visit. You will come to The Forge after first meeting with Durlin, then riding the Dwarven train. Right by where you get off the first train, while staying in the same area, you will want to look north to find a Raven flying around the area. Of course, this Raven flies a set path, but you will need to hit it with an axe throw. This is especially annoying, as getting a good bead on the nuisance can be difficult. It may take a few tries, but the best way to do this is to aim at one spot, then toss the axe. If you miss, then readjust your throw instead of trying to chase after the Raven.
Odin’s Raven 2¶
You will be unable to get this second Raven on your first visit to this area, so you will need to come back later.
Where to Find All Artifacts in The Forge¶
There’s only a single Artifact found in The Forge and it can be picked up before you squeeze through the wall and encounter the Dreki boss fight. There will be a small area off to the south, with some wooden debris and a crate. Break the crate/debris and you will find the Things Left Behind Artifact on the ground.
Where to Find All Nornir Chests in The Forge¶
You will find one Nornir Chest in this sub-region and while you can find it during your travels, you won’t be able to open it on your first visit. Before you crawl through the small opening leading to the Dreki boss fight, there is a path off to the side, where you should see a green heart painted on the rock wall. The Nornir Chest will be right here, but you will need the Draupnir Spear to open it, which is acquired during the Forging Destiny main quest.
Once you have the spear, return to the area and look for the three runes associated with the Nornir Chest. You’ll find one of these just to the left of the chest, one opposite it to the north, and then one to the southeast, just to the left of a fallen carriage. All of these are shown in the screenshots below.
After throwing a Draupnir Spear into reach of the runes, press to detonate them all at once, thereby opening the chest.
If you still need help opening this Nornir Chest, check the video below to see exactly how it’s done.
Where to Find All Lore in The Forge¶
Dear Overseer Lore Scroll¶
There’s two pieces of Lore to be found in The Forge, both of which are pretty much right next to each other. After defeating the Dreki boss, squeeze through the narrow gap on the opposite end to arrive at a fork. Head north first, climb the ledge right there and you should see a Dwarven house right there. In front of that house is this Lore scroll.
The Forge Rune Read¶
From the previous Lore Scroll, go behind it and you should see a locked gate. On the wall to the right of the gate will be the Rune Read, so just approach it and press the X button.
