God of War: Ragnarok

How to Get the Radiance Armor Set

By
Matt Chard

One of the best armors in God of War Ragnarok is the Radiance Armor Set. Obtained by defeating three specific Berserker Gravestones with one of them being only available in post-game. The Radiance Armor Set offers predominantly the Strength and Defense attributes, and the perk allows you to Realm Shift after a last-second dodge.

The Radiance Armor in all of its glory.

How to Find the Radiance Armor

You can get this set relatively early in the game. It becomes available to you after you unlock the optional area The Barrens in Alfheim. The first piece will come from completing the Favor “Secret of the Sands”. Not only will that reward you with a piece of armor, but it’ll clear the sandstorm that’s obscuring your vision there. This will make the other two pieces easier to find as you’ll be able to see where you’re going.

(1 of 2) The first piece will be in a Legendary Chest in the gazebo area in the north/northwest of The Barrens.

The second piece can be found in a Legendary Chest under the gazebo in the northwest of The Barrens. When you get there, you’ll have to defeat several Dark Elves including a Dark Lord, so be prepared. Once they’re defeated, head to the left side of the gazebo to find the chest containing the Gauntlets of Radiance.

The final piece can be found in the far east of The Barrens where the large skeleton is. Once again, this area will be surrounded by many enemies. Defeat The enemies, and climb the ledge to reach a Legendary Chest containing the Belt of Radiance.

(1 of 2) The last piece of armor can be found in the east of The Barrens where the large skeleton lies.

Where to get Radiance Armor Materials

As you can see above, you’ll need quite a few materials in order to craft, and max out the Radiance Armor Set. If you’re wondering where you can get your hands on these materials, check the list below.

How to Get Asgardian Ingots

Mainly found in the late-game area coffers, and treasure chests. The best way to get this rare resource is by using the Wishing Well in The Crater region in Vanaheim. Break the amber-colored ore around The Crater, and when you have a few, head to the Wishing Well, and toss them in it to get the ingots as well as other materials, and Hacksilver.

How to Get Tempered Remnants

You can get Tempered Remnants as a reward from defeating the Berserker’s in the Berserker Gravestones. They’ll normally drop around 2-5 when defeated.

How to Get Sparkling Crystals

Similar to a lot of the rarer resources. The best way to get these are by using the Wishing Well in The Crater region in Vanaheim. Break the amber-colored ore around The Crater, and when you have a few, head to the Wishing Well, and toss them in it to get the ingots as well as other materials, and Hacksilver.

How to Get Purified Crystalline

These are a relatively easy resource to get your hands on. You get them by trading crystal fragments which are scattered throughout The Crater region to the Wishing Well. This can be reached from either The Jungle or The Sinkholes. Trading these fragments can net you some nice loot including, Hacksilver, Purified Crystalline, and other various goodies. The more you trade, the more you’ll get.

How to Get Smouldering Embers

The only place to get these rare resources is from the Muspelheim Trials in The Crucible. Thankfully, these can be repeated to your heart’s content, so you can find the one you find the easiest, and repeat that specific trial.

Best way to Get Hacksilver

A lot of The Crater Favors will yield a lot of Hacksilver, and if that isn’t enough, you can trade yellow crystal fragments to the Wishing Well for even more.
