How to Find the The Derelict Outpost

The Derelict Outpost can be found southwest of the Lake of Nine, follow a trail of wrecked ships and you’ll arrive - there’s even a Mystic Gateway outside.

In addition to being a region of Midgard that’s worth exploring for its collectibles, you’ll also need to explore The Derelict Outpost for the favor Sigrun’s Curse. If you’re here during the main quest Beyond Ragnarok you’ll find Skjoldr fussing around outside, and while you can have a conversation with him, doing so doesn’t have any bearing on this region’s collectibles nor the favor Sigrun’s Curse.

Near the start of this area, search a hole in the hull of a suspended ship to find one of Odin’s Ravens.

Where to Find All Odin’s Ravens in The Derelict Outpost

Odin’s Raven #1

From the Mystic Gateway head north, northwest under a stone arch, then turn east to find a shipwreck suspended on some rocks - if you’re here during Beyond Ragnarok, this is where Skjoldr will be. Head to the rock the ship’s prow is stuck on and look up through a hole in the hull to spot one of Odin’s Ravens.

You can find the another one of Odin’s Ravens atop the pulley at the fire chain-pulley puzzle.

Odin’s Raven #2

From the Mystic Gateway, head north and climb a chain, then make your way west past a dwarven shop before turning left (south) to find a hole in the wall. Use the Blades of Chaos to swing over to the south, then turn west to find another gap. Hit the panels on a pulley with the Leviathan Axe to swing a grapple point over the gap, which you can then use to swing over to the west. Once across, kill some Wisps and seek out a glowing pillar - this will keep spawning Wisps, so be sure to smash it.

After the Wisps are taken care of, return east to where you entered this area and turn left (north) to spot another pulley. You know the drill - strike the panels to rotate it until a grapple point is over the gap, then swing across to the north. Continue north, then climb a ledge to the left (west), and when you mount it, immediately turn right (north) to find another ledge you can scale. Nearby you’ll find a chain you can pull, which will raise another pulley. Atop this pulley you’ll find one of Odin’s Ravens.

Turn a pulley and destroy a Wisp-spawning pillar, then search to the south to find the Lore Marker - Blodugr Steinn.

Lore Marker - Blodugr Steinn

From the Mystic Gateway, head north and climb a chain, then make your way west past a dwarven shop before turning left (south) to find a hole in the wall. Use the Blades of Chaos to swing over to the south, then turn west to find another gap. Hit the panels on a pulley with the Leviathan Axe to swing a grapple point over the gap, which you can then use to swing over to the west. Once across, kill some Wisps and seek out a glowing pillar - this will keep spawning Wisps, so be sure to smash it. After the Wisps are taken care of, turn south from the Wisp pillar to find the Lore Marker - Blodugr Steinn.

After the second chain-pulley puzzle, climb a ledge to find the Lore Marker - The Death of Helgi.

Lore Marker - The Death of Helgi

Make your way through The Derelict Outpost until you need to pull a chain to raise a pulley, which allows you to swing across to another section of ruins to the west. Kill the Hel-Raiders that spawn here, jump a gap to the south, climb up a ledge (also south), defeat a pair of Wisps and another Hel-Raider, then jump another gap to the west. Follow the linear path ahead, smash some icicles blocking a doorway, and you’ll find yourself in a chamber with another pulley.

Drop off a ledge to the south to find another chain, which will lower the pulley. Lower it as much as possible, hit the rightmost panel with the Leviathan Axe to swing the pulley out over the gap on the ledge to the north, then raise the pulley again. Now that you have a way across, climb back up the ledge and swing across the gap to the east. Climb a cliff to the northeast and you’ll find yourself back outside, near a Lore Marker and a Legendary Chest. Examine the Lore Marker - The Death of Helgi to score this collectible.

Solve the first chain-pulley puzzle, jump a gap to the west, then drop down some ledges, defeating some Hel-Raiders and Wisps, after which you can find the Stolen Treasure - Lyre Artifact near a corpse.

Stolen Treasure - Lyre

Progress through The Derelict Outpost until you have to pull a chain to raise a pulley, which you can then swing across to the west and kill several Hel-Raiders. Once done, head to the northern edge of the area, then turn right (east) to find some ledges you can drop down. Do so and kill several Wisps, then enter some ruins and search on the ground near a corpse to find the Stolen Treasure - Lyre Artifact.

You’ll find a Legendary Chest after the second chain-pulley puzzle. Loot it to obtain Ivaldi’s Anvil, a Heavy Runic Attack for the Leviathan Axe.
