Baldur’s Gate 3 has finally arrived and you’ll have multiple companions as well as your own personal hero to customize. However, some outfits can make your character look hideous, so you may want to hide them until you find something a little nicer or you may just want to hide your clothes for other reasons… This page will take you through the necessary steps to hiding your clothes and changing your appearance.
How to Change Your Appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3¶
There are many players that are heavily invested on the role-playing element of these games, and unfortunately you cannot transmog your best-looking outfits onto your powerful equipment which is a shame because you’re stuck between choosing fashion or practicality. However, if you still want to dress up your character for any upcoming cutscenes, then you’ll want to make sure you keep them in your inventory. With that said you can still choose between wearing Camp or Default Armor by opening up your inventory menu and selecting the small icon which is located above the t-shirt icon.
If you choose to go with the camp attire, then you’ll simply have that look but with the stats of your combat armor. Additionally, if you have nudity enabled and you remove your character’s camp clothing, then they will literally be completely naked, so keep that in mind if you’re streaming or recording. Sometimes you can get some really ugly helmets, so if you don’t like your current helmet, then you hide it by clicking the small icon above your helmet on the left side. Here you’ll have the option to Show Helmet, Hide During Dialogues or Hide Helmet. These options can also be used on your companions by doing the same process.
How to Turn Nudity On or Off in BG3?¶
If you don’t wish to see your characters genitalia when changing up their style, then you can simple turn off this option by navigating over to the options menu and selecting the gameplay tab. Here you’ll want to scroll down to “User Options” and remove the tick from “Show Genitals” and if you don’t want to see any nudity in certain cutscenes, then remove the tick from “Show Cinematic Nudity” as well.
