The Fetch Quest Trophy is one of the animal-related trophies that you can unlock in Baldur’s Gate 3. To obtain it, you need to play fetch with Scratch in your camp. However, in order to play fetch with Scratch, you’ll need to find him first.
Keep making a fuss of Scratch and eventually he’ll bring you a ball.
Where to Find Scratch in BG3¶
As mentioned above, you’ll need to find Scratch first and he can be found roaming around the 
Wilderness which is the region you’ll explore during Act 1. More specifically, he can be found overlooking his dead master to the northeast of the 
Blighted Village. If you’re not having much luck tracking down Scratch’s location, then head to the coordinates (X: 80 Y: 477). In order to convince Scratch to come back to your camp you’ll want to choose the following dialogue choices:
- “Reach out to pet him”
- “Peer at his collar”
- “It’s all right, Scratch. I’m not going to hurt you.” or “Kneel - you mean no harm” (Animal Handling)
- “Pet Him”
- “Come on, Scratch. Follow me.
How to Play Fetch With Scratch in BG3¶

Once you’ve convinced Scratch that you’re friendly and he’s settled in back at your camp, it’s time to work towards playing fetch with him. To do this, continue playing through the game, then eventually when you return to camp, Scratch will have an exclamation mark above his head. Speak with him and you’ll notice that he has a ball in his mouth, so you’ll need to create a quick-save, then pass one of the following dialogue checks: Strength, Sleight of Hand, or Animal Handling.
After you’ve successfully got the ball from Scratch you’ll want to open up your inventory and select the ball, then choose the “throw” option. Here you’ll notice a small white line will appear in front of your character, so position it away from Scratch and throw the ball, then wait for him to bring it back to you to unlock the Fetch Quest Trophy.
