This is a guide for the “Venomous Valour” Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding the Hidden Herbology Corridor and Giant Venomous Tentacula Leaf.
I should search the ground around the Herbology wing for the entrance to the Hidden Herbology Corridor.
How To Start Venomous Valour in Hogwarts Legacy¶
Once you’ve completed the assignment “Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1” which is unlocked after completing the main quest “The Locket’s Secret” you’ll be able to speak with Duncan Hobbhouse who can be found on the first floor of the Defence Against the Dark Art Tower. Here you’ll be requested to go to the Hidden Herbology Corridor to find proof for him to show to the other students.
After you’ve finished speaking with Duncan, follow the waypoint on your mini-map until you reach the Hogwarts Grounds, then you’ll see a doorway which is blocked by branches. You’ll want to burn the branches by holding on Playstation and on Xbox and aim towards it whilst using Incendio.
How To Get Through The Hidden Herbology Corridor¶
Proceed into the Hidden Herbology Corridor and you’ll immediately notice the Devil’s Snare which are vines that’ll slow you down and damage you if you stand in it. Here you’ll want to cast Lumos to cause them to retract, allowing you to pass through. Hop over to the wooden beam and avoid the path ahead for now and take the stairs on the right.
You’ll see a chest that’s also surrounded in the Devil’s Snare, so cast Incendio on the braziers to free it, then jump across and open it for some gear. Go back downstairs and continue following the path along to the west, then shoot the wooden objects blocking the path. Light up the braziers surrounding the small pool of water to remove more vines, then open the chest for some more gear.
Return to the other side and head through the doorway to the south and you’ll find a Giant Venomous Tentacula Leaf. Interact with it, then climb up the nearby ladder to reach the Greenhouse. Finally, return to Duncan Hobbhouse and the quest will come to a close.
