How To Start Cursed Tomb Treasure in Hogwarts Legacy¶
Before you begin this quest you’ll need to have access to Alohomora Level 3. Alohomora is unlocked via completing the Main Quest “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament ”, then you’ll need to find 22 Demiguise Statues and return them to Gladwin Moon for it be upgraded to Level 3. You can find all the Demiguise Statues in the game here:

Once you’ve got your hands on Alohomora Level, continue through the game until you’ve completed the Main Story Quest “The Helm of Urtkot”, then head to the West Manor Cape Floo Flame. Fly northeast until you reach the Old Manor, then proceed into the destroyed building and go downstairs to find a door with a Level 3 Lock on it. If you’re unsure to how Lock Picking works in Hogwarts, then check out our guide here: How To Lock Pick Using Alohomora In Hogwarts Legacy.
After you’ve successfully unlocked the door, follow the corridor along and go down another set of stairs, then when you reach a large open room you’ll find a Chest with a level 1 lock sitting in the back corner. Inside you’ll be given a Mysterious Map Fragment and the Cursed Tomb Treasure Quest will begin.
How To Find The Cursed Tomb Treasure in Hogwarts Legacy¶
The clues within this Map Fragment point you in the direction of the Tomb of Treachery which is located between the Coastal Cavern and Poidsear Coast. Once you’ve entered the Tomb, follow the narrow path along until you reach a dead end, then use Confringo on the webs to the left and continue down that path until you reach the butterfly puzzle.
Enter the room on the right and you’ll find two butterflies. Shoot the one on the left with Confringo to remove more webs, then use Lumos and bring them both to the door in the other room. For the third and final butterfly you’ll need to open up the room to the left by shooting the webs with Confringo, then use Wingardium Leviosa and the block to the left and bring it closer to the back wall.
Climb up to find the Butterfly sitting in the corner, then use Lumos and bring it back to the door to unlock it. Inside the next room you’ll be greeted by multiple Inferius. You’ll need to use fire based spells, such as Confringo or Incendio to begin with, then you use more deadly attacks to finish them off. Take down one enemy at a time otherwise you’ll be fighting against multiple for a long time which will increase the risk of death.
Once the room has been cleared you’ll see nine stone tiles in the center of the room. Equip Flipendo, then you’ll want to stand in the northeast corner and use it on the following tiles: Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Top Middle. If done correctly a Chest will raise out the ground. Open it for the Treasure-Seeker’s Attire, then the quest will be completed!
