There are a few instances in Metaphor: ReFantazio where you get a choice to hang out/speak with one of your party members. On September 6th, you get one of these choices, right before you all leave for Altabury Heights. The person you choose will give you a weapon for one of the Archetypes here, with them being pretty similar in stats and special effects, so it’s entirely up to you which one you want.
Who to Choose On 9/6 in Metaphor¶
After completing the events on Virga Island, the party gets to participate in a party thrown by the residents on the island. At some point during the festives, Gallica will ask you which party member you want to hang out with for a little one-on-one time. You get to pick from everyone in your active party, as well as Gallica and Neuras, and you only get to choose a single person here. Unlike the previous choice on 8/16, you actually do get different things here depending on your choice.
The item you receive will be a weapon that is related to the specific subset of Archetypes for the character. For example, if you pick to hang out with Strohl, then you will receive a weapon for the Warrior subset of Archetypes. Of course, the weapon is pretty similar across the board, as it will have the same stats, no matter who you choose. All of the weapons will have 320 Attack, as well as the same added effect, which is Small MP recovery every turn in battle. Note that the Hit Chance for the weapon will follow the same model as all other weapons in that class, so that’s pretty much the only difference.
The following chart shows the person you can hang out with, as well as which weapon you receive and for which Archetype class it will be for:
Character | Weapon | Archetype |
---|---|---|
Strohl | Rebel’s Greatsword | Warrior |
Hulkenberg | Driftwood Lance | Knight |
Gallica | Whalebone Rod | Mage |
Neuras | Protobow Beta | Gunner |
Heismay | Silence | Thief |
Junah | Stylish Fan | Masked Dancer |
Eupha | Dancing Crosier | Summoner |
So, the choice here basically boils down to which Archetype needs a new weapon. The weapon effect will stack with other similar effects, like Shield Blessing from the Wizard, or if you have an accessory that does the same thing. You might have one or two weapons that are already stronger than the weapon above, so that also factors into the choice made. Either way, it’s a pretty decent weapon that has a pretty good effect, so it can be good for just about anyone.
