Description |
|
Contrary to other demons, they hate to fight. Many hold no prejudices toward humans or angels. Since they consider it a huge sin to heal those who are injured, they wear barbed clothing as a way of punishing themselves. Once of their biggest pet peeves is being mistaken for girls. |
The Clergy is one of the classes in the game that specializes in healing, and is the male counterpart of the Cleric. Their main stats are both SP and RES, with some good aptitudes in pretty much everything else, except for HP and ATK. Taking a look at their weapon masteries, they are good with both the Staff and the Spear. Unfortunately, due to the poor ATK, there’s really no reason to use a Spear at all with a Clergy class (there’s also no Evility to change their spear compatibility to RES, instead of ATK). That means if you plan on using a Clergy, it’s best to stick with Staves.

Evilities¶
The Clergy’s unique Evility, Medical Heal, makes it so whenever they use a healing spell, all ailments will also be cured. While this is nice, it is situational, as you won’t be getting ailments on you all of the time. If you wish to get the full healing benefits out of the Clergy, then add the Expert Hands Evility to them to make their heals 100% better. Since the Clergy isn’t exactly as good with Bows as the Cleric, you don’t want to really use Bows with them. However, Staff Rebellion changes the normal attacks of the staff to use RES instead, which is a main stat for healing, so you will have high RES.
Since the Clergy might not be as much as a potential damage dealer, you may wish to go the support route with them. With that, you can use Medical Insertion on them (support magic is twice as strong), as well as Effective Delivery, which makes the support magic last longer. Chemical Reaction also gives a boost to a stat that wasn’t enhanced by 30%, and Tension Booster increases the target’s Revenge Gauge by 10% when using support magic. There is also Evil Eye and Happy Song, which decreases enemy stats and increases ally stats on the map by 3%, respectively.
