Battle¶
You will unlock Usalia as a playable unit at the beginning of Episode 5. Usalia is a monster unit, so she is restricted to what she can do in battle, although she can be a pretty good character overall. While her stats lend her to be able to use either type of monster weapon, all of her skills use ATK as a modifier, so it’s best to stick with the ATK Monster Weapon type. That said, she has good DEF and RES aptitudes, so you could potentially use her as a tank during battles. This is especially true if you take into account her default Evility, Anti-Bully Aura, as she will always get a 10% damage reduction and more if she has allies adjacent to her. It’s also important to note that Usalia has an innate resistance to Star and no other elemental weakness, which is a huge plus for her.

Overload¶
Usalia’s Overload skill is called Murmur of Rage, but she doesn’t actually unlock it until the end of Episode 10. Whenever she triggers Murmur of Rage, it will hit every enemy on the map, then she will have three turns of being able to wreak havoc. In addition to the damage across the entire map, she will also have an unlimited range to provide a support attack on any enemy damages while she’s in this state. Needless to say, but the damage alone (it’s non-elemental) from Murmur of Rage is worth it alone, but the support attack from anywhere on the map is another plus.
Evilities¶
Usalia’s default unique Evility is called Anti-Bully Aura, which decreases the damage taken by Usalia by 10% at its base. If you have adjacent allies next to her, then you will get a 10% damage reduction for each one. The second unique Evility, Precious People, is learned upon completing Episode 10. This one will increase your ATK by 20% for each adjacent ally, which is nice if you are using Usalia as a damage dealer. If you wish to make a tank out of Usalia, you can either give her Hero’s Shield so she always protects allies should she use Defend.
Gel Body is another great tanking Evility (decreases non-elemental damage by 50%), as well as Immortal Body (decreases physical attack damage by 50%). The Armor Knight’s common Evilities are also good, as it can help you strike back, while also mitigating damage. Advance Guard decreases damage by 50% when you defend, with Defensive Stance makes it so you always defend from the front or side. Lastly, Swift Stance will make it so you always counter attack while defending, so you can get out some damage if enemies are next to you.

Trivia¶
- Usalia’s name is likely based on the Japanese word for rabbit, usagi.
- The transformation done during Usalia’s Murmur of Rage Overload is similar to the ones done by the tailed beasts in the Naruto manga/anime.
