Battle¶
You will unlock Emizel as a playable unit upon finishing the DLC episode called I, Girl Theater. Looking at his stats and aptitudes, there’s no doubt that Emizel is meant to be a mage, with high INT/SP aptitudes and S rank in Staves. He only learns up to Mega elemental spells, though, so he will need some work in order to learn the higher ones. While the chance is only 20%, the opportunity for a random deathblow to happen whenever Emizel uses magic, thanks to his unique Evility, is nice. Should you use him, build him up as a mage and he could potentially be useful, although there are better mages out there.

Evilities¶
Emizel’s unique Evility is called Death Spell, which gives him a 20% chance to deathblow an enemy unit if he’s using magic. This can be both a good and bad thing, as while the chance isn’t too high, the added benefit of potentially one-shotting enemies when they’re at full health is nice. Charismatic Novice is the first common Evility for Emizel and it increases the stats of adjacent allies by 10%. This can be nice during the main story, but once you get to the threshold of having the max of 100% stats in the endgame, it falls off and becomes useless.
Death March increases the damage dealt by Emizel as he defeats enemies, with it increasing x2% for each unit defeated. If he’s powerful enough to be plowing through enemies, you will like this Evility, but it’s kind of pointless otherwise. The last common Evility is called Astral Body and it allows the character to revive themselves by expending 10% of their SP whenever their HP is reduced to zero. As long as your SP isn’t getting damaged or using a lot of it, this is essentially a good number of free revives and can become clutch in a close battle.
